“We liked that hotel”

It's a small hotel, about 12 rooms.
Well kept, aesthetic, designed with lot of taste, clean, quiet.
It is obvious that every detail has been thought and lot of aesthetic attention has been given.
The owner and the staff are friendly and attentive,
There is a free for guests PC on the corridor ( very rare in Europe ), free spacious and comfortable parking lot and an excellent restaurant.
In our room there was an elegant and comfortable shower and a beautiful large glass sink.
There was a good buffet breakfast served in nice dishes in a nicely designed room.
The only problems were the narrow bed - 1.40 m ( about 55 inch ), and the squeaky room's door.

We really loved our stay at this hotel! All of the proprietors/staff were friendly and helpful and were able/gracious enough to speak english to compensate for our extremely limited french. The restaurant offers traditional regional dishes of very high quality. It's only open for 1.5 hours per night so don't miss it! Prices good considering the quality. Breakfast was a little limited in scope but high quality and good coffee. The room was extremely clean and large enough for a couple. There are a number of common areas to read, etc. The town is very small and quaint...good for an after dinner stroll.

Overall...magnifique!

This is a nice little hotel with comfortable rooms in a very quiet little town.
If you arrive before check in time be prepared to wait. We arrived early and although there was a person at the desk, he was extremely reluctant to open the door. This was very upsetting to the couple we traveled with and put us off to a bad start. Once we got to our rooms and settled in, things got better. Also, be aware in almost every hotel (including this one) that we stayed at in France there was no access to an iron or ironing board.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a very relaxing stay. Our room no 10 which has been renovated was very good value for money. The restaurant has a very good atmosphere. The food and service was excellent. Expensive but good value breakfast. Ample parking for cars and motorbikes. The Morvan region is well worth exploring. Interesting towns and villages and a great country side. We would stay there again.

A well appointed and comfortable family run hotel situated in a quiet village close to Avallon. The standard of comfort and decor are high, particularly when one considers the excellent value for money. The hotel restaurent offers excellent cuisine in a setting which would be in keeping with establishments charging twice as much.
