We stayed in La Dame in June 2014. The accommodation is in part of a big house. Lovely and cool from the outside heat. Comfy beds and a small kitchen, but adequate for what you need for a week. The gardens are glorious, with fruit tress, vines and wisteria. The pool is a perfect size, great for cooling off and having a decent swim. The sunbeds are comfortable and there is plenty of shade provided.
Ponte a Moriano is a lovely small town, it has a market there on Wednesdays. There is not many places to eat, but we ate in one pizza place and the food was good, reasonable price and staff friendly. Its very easy to get to Lucca on the train, 2 stops and there is a direct train to Pisa.
