“Perfect villa in a great location”
Reviewed 7 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a really fantastic 2 week holiday in Villa Sun Beach, we have stayed in several villas over the years and this is certainly up there with the best. The villa was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool is just perfect and we had to drag the kids out of it every evening. Richard and Noirin were perfect hosts and really went that extra mile to make our holiday really special.

“Sun Villa Puglia break”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The object was a relaxing break for the family (5Adults, one 18 month child) with sun, comfort and no stress. Al the objective s were achieved. From the initial enquiry to our departure our hosts were most helpful in ensuring all went smoothly. The holiday accommodation, travel and car hire were all self organised.
The expectations of the family were fully met for our short stay in this delightful villa. Even early in the season the pool provided a necessary relief from the temperature and an ideal way of cooling down at the end of the day.
With two generous double bedrooms the third room was smaller and fitted with bunk beds. All the requested ancillaries for a small child (18 moths) were provided and of good quality (cot bedding etc). Supervision of small children is necessary round the pool - but that is a given in an such circumstances.
The location is rural to say the least and would not necessarily suit all. Arriving in early June do not expect all the local facilities to be available and note that the local councils had not got round to clearing the flotsam and jetsam from the beaches. The state of the beaches was perhaps the only down side.
The plus side however was the lack of other tourists which made trips to the local towns and sight a much more pleasant experience. In the height of summer Lecce would probably be a nightmare for parking and the delightful small streets and alleys a mass of humanity.
A car is essential.
Our hosts ensured the property was well prepared clean and all the facilities in good working order. very attentive they were nevertheless unobtrusive and responded immediately to minor requests.
A good value residence for an early break in the sun. The provision of books, DVDs etc was most thoughtful however we never had need to use them. Days out, evening swim followed by relaxing conversation round the pool were all that was needed.
A word of warning however - the mosquitos are carnivorous and enjoy sweet northern European blood. Good repellent and anthisan creams are most strongly recommended.
Richard - Thank you for a most enjoyable stay in your villa. Had it not been for the disappointment over the beaches I would assess this package as worthy of 5 stars. The villa certainly met that criteria.

Liked best: Tranquility and off the beaten track - we were expecting this but it may not be to everyones taste.
Liked least: The beaches had not been cleared of the rubbish which had built up over the winter. Very disappointing.

“Fabulous villa with everything you need for a great family holiday”
Reviewed 11 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a great time in Puglia and Richard and Noirin were excellent hosts. Great recommendations for things to do and Richard even went the extra mile of posting some t-shirts that we absent mindedly left behind!

The villa is even better than it looks than on the websites. The pool was fantastic and it has all amenities you need for a great stay. It was out of season whilst we were in Lendinuso so most restaurants within walking distance were not open yet - or serving limited menus. The beach is nice but needed a bit of a clean up as la lot of washed debris. Great bakery nearby thought that is open all the time and nice restaurants in neighbouring towns.

“Lovely villa, well equipped kitchen, beautiful pool”
Reviewed 4 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Owner very helpful. Welcome pack meant we didn't have to go out to eat the first night. Nonna Lisa and Zona Fao restaurants in Torchiarolo very good and reasonably priced.
We were out of season and were a bit dismayed by the amount of rubbish on the beaches. There were not really any restaurants open within walking distance at this time of year ( may half term).
Lecce was definitely worth a visit.
A good venue for a relaxing chill out holiday and the pool and sundeck and excellent weather all helped. lovely to be able to pick your own lemons from the tree too!

“Relaxing villa with pool and a good base for sightseeing!”

I stayed at the villa sun beach on a family holiday in early October,I found the villa to be of a high standard and being a good base for exploring the area of Puglia. On arrival Richard and Noirin were there to greet us with a warm welcome, they showed us around the villa and garden where they have some lovely fruit trees and we were able to help ourselves to the fruit. The villa has a lovely pool, ideal for days spent relaxing at the villa.
Richard and Noirin also left us a substantial food hamper to see us over the first day or two. They are only a phone call away should guests need anything.
There are mosquitos in the area so it would be wise to take precautions, although the local pharmacies sell a very good mosquito spray that works.
There is also a folder left at the villa with some very detailed information on the area.

“Perfect villa with wonderful pool”

Villa Sun Beach is a very nice property with 3 bedrooms, a combined kitchen and living room and a bathroom, all very clean and well maintained. We were 6 persons from 3 generations and the youngest are teen agers and this place was perfect, a combination of relaxing days home by the pool and excursions to nearby locations.
By 5 mins walk you reach the beach and a bar where you can have a drink and ice cream. Also very nice is the small shops in Lendinuso, we walked here every morning to buy fresh bread, outside they sold vegetables and opposite there was a butcher.
The owners Richard and Noirin are extremely helpful and generous, they helped us organize a birthday dinner at restaurant Il Botteghino and also a visit at a wine cantina, very much appreciated.
