“Little piece of heaven in Koh Samui”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

Great place to stay while in Koh Samui. Koh Samui was a super busy island. The Lodge was a great escape and we had a fantastic view from the balcony to the ocean. Fisherman's village is a fun place to wander around in with lots of shopping and good restaurants.

Room Tip: If you are into fitness, go to the Yogarden that is close by for great yoga too!

Me, my father and my sister stayed at The Lodge last month for 4 days. It was definitely the best hotel we saw during out trip in Thailand. The rooms are big and clean with nice forniture. The view from the balcony is stunning and the staff is welcoming and always really helpfull! Thank you so much..we will never forget this place :)

My wife and I spent a week at the Lodge in October 2013. What a charming little place! We had Bonnie at the Yogarden put together a package for us which included accommodation at the Lodge. the staff were excellent - very attentive, very friendly, and accommodating. we stayed in the Penthut #2 which is on the higher floor complete with a comfortable bed and beautiful balcony overlooking the beach. The room wasn't overly large but it certainly met all our needs. This is not a 5 star accommodation but we knew that going in and it provided excellent value for money. The restaurant downstairs was very good - we indulged in the curries, spring rolls, a few of the sandwiches, and breakfasts. Drinks were cold and refreshing - mojitos and margaritas being our favourites!

The location is fantastic - within walking distance of everything in Fisherman's village. Directly on the beach too. It was nice to sit out front for a couple drinks after dinner and just watch the bustle on the street. If you are looking for luxury I would look elsewhere - The Lodge is a charming, affordable hotel that provides a warm personal touch. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Penthuts are great - top floor and big balconies. Not the best for people who have trouble with sta...

Cheap and cheerful boutique accommodation right on the beach in "Fisherman's Village"
Impeccably clean with beautiful, polite and attentive staff. Free bottled water every day, fruit on arrival, bath and beach towels, option for 3 meals a day and inexpensive. Lovely view from ac'd room, also with ceiling fans, fridge and safe.
If you are after a 5 star resort with all the bells and whistles this is not the place for you but we enjoyed our 3 starred "The Lodge" far more than the 5 star resort we stayed in prior and price was not our big issue.
Would return

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view. Higher floors private balconies, ground floors small shared lawn area 5 s...

If you are looking for a chilled, low-key type of place, rooms with balcony and sea views then this is it. This hotel is located in Bo Phut village which is more known for its quiet, get away from all relative to the mayhem of Chaweng. Shops close at 11pm while music generally also stops in most of the near by low-key bars at the same time.

Hotel staffs are very friendly and under a very helpful manager Khun Koi. There is a small restaurant, which is good for breakfast and some snacks with an extended patio to the beachfront. The selection is somewhat limited for dinner, which is no problem as there are many good restaurants of varying selections very close by.

The downside to this area is that the beach here has coarse sand, while the sea is a brownish color with some sort of a very fine black layer of muck on the sea bottom making it is not ideal for kids.

Nevertheless, I have stayed at this hotel many times and will do so again.

Room Tip: Ask for higher up floor.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us again and very much look forward to your next visit.

We are sorry that you found the sea water not quite up to par on your last trip. There is not much we can do but we do find that generally in Samui the visibility of the water changes frequently. Rarely the water is less than inviting but we hope that cocktails from the beach will always keep you coming back.

See you next time!

I stayed at The Lodge for one night before flying out of Koh Samui. It is in the centre of Bo Phut but still manages to be quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable, AC good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and all at a good price.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling around the islands.
We were upgraded to the best room with a sea view.

Unfortunately on the first night there was a power cut and so we had to go out. I'm pleased to say this was fixed when we returned and didn't happen again. The air conditioning system in the room was not working properly and leaked every morning. We did have a fan and used this instead but it was very very warm!

The breakfasts and lunches here are great value! For 180 baht you can have a choice of cooked breakfasts/ pancakes, tea or coffee and orange juice.

The staff are also very friendly and wiling to help.

Finally the views are amazing here and whilst the beach is not the best on the island it is very pretty.
