Overall I thought this tour was well managed and organized. My friend and I had a very enjoyable day. The tour starts with an approximately 1.5 hour boat ride out to the marine park during which a light breakfast of fresh fruit, croissants, coffee and tea is served. The tour operator takes the time to explain how the day's activities will progress and basic kayaking skills.

Our first stop was a remote area of the marine park, which was nice because we were the only kayakers out there. There are only enough kayaks for half of the people on the tour. The first group goes kayaking while the other group sun baths, swims off the boat or snorkels. We were in the first group to go kayaking and enjoyed the experience. This was my first time kayaking, so it was a nice introductory tour into the activity. We kayaked around lots of rock formations, through little caves and into a cove. The kayak guides were helpful in stopping and taking pictures of you at scenic points. After we finished kayaking, we returned to the boat to give snorkeling a try. The tour guide told us not to expect anything fantastic, that this was not a main dive site like Koh Thao. Although it was nothing spectacular in terms of snorkeling, we still enjoyed ourselves while the other half of the tour group kayaked.

After everyone was back onboard the boat, lunch was served consisting of rice, two chicken dishes and sauteed vegetables. It was pretty decent for tour boat food. They also have water and soft drinks available all day (beer too but at a charge). During this time we sailed over to another location in the marine park for more kayaking. After kayaking we docked our kayaks on the shore of a small island and hiked up to the green lagoon, which was lovely and picturesque. Those not up for the hike (which is up very very steep stairs) had the opportunity to hang out on the beach, go swimming in the ocean or get some refershments at the little snack hut. After that, it was back to the boat for another 1.5 hour ride back to the Koh Samui port.

For the price and scenery, I thought this tour was well worth it and very enjoyable, especially for someone new to kayaking.

You get what you pay for on this trip. Average boat, food etc but good day out for £40 each including food and soft drinks, hotel pickup, kayaking. The kayaks were ok condition with buoyancy aids and guides provided and had about 1 hour in total in the kayaks. Snorkelling no good. Takes about 1 hour 45 min each way to the park. Only saw two water snakes and two birds so not sure about the claims of what you will see there. High climb to the solar lagoon very difficult with steep steps, not for those afraid of heights. Breakfast and lunch ok, nothing special but fresh fruit nice. Tea coffee soft drinks all provided all day long. Guide speaks German and English, about 70% on the trip were German. Engine broke down on way back but they got it going after 15 mins drifting. Having said that it certainly wasn't the worst looking boat out there!

We had a group of about a dozen. We were picked up at our resort bang on time and headed to Nathon to board the boat. Everything was well organised and the guide explained the day well. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the boat ride to get to the location.
I dont understand people who have complained about the time and distance to travel. If you research Ang Thong in relation to Samui you should be able to figure it out. Sit back, relax and enjoy I say, you are in a boat on the water in Thailand !!!
We did snorkelling and kayaking. We definitely preferred the kayaking and it was well organised and guided. The guys did a great job of balancing everyones needs and I thought were very flexible. We had a great time just jumping of the the top deck into that beautiful water.
Food onboard was great and there was plenty for all. Fresh fruit water and soft drinks. Well catered.
We did a stop at Emerald Lagoon which was a bit crowded for me but again the guys accommodated and provided options to get back on the boat earlier if required.
It was a good day out and we felt well provided for. Good value I say.

If you enjoy kayaking and want a more "sporty" excursion, this is not the trip to join. Nice place though, so if you have some kayaking experience I think it would be a really nice to take a regular boat out to the main island in Ang Thong marine park and rent a kayak there and go on your own. The organisation was good, friendly staff, decent food (but don't skip breakfast at your hotel!).

we read the reviews on trip advisor since it had great ratings , but were disappointed with the tour operator. The place is awesome, but choose someone else since it takes a whole day.

1. The boat is bad , not clean
2. The guide does not explain anything
3. Snorkeling is not worth since water is very gloomy , it is better to skip that when you are booking and go to Koh Tao for snorkelling.
