I come to this nice hotel the last three years with my family to spend quiet holidays. Take a mountain view room on high floor (quiet) .Room is big, clean and very comfortable. The food is great and swimming pool very nice.Rent a motorcycle (200THB/day) and you are near to the best places of island - Chaweng and Choen Mon beaches, Bophut village and Big Buddha.

Room Tip: Take mountain view room second floor because sea view noisy with road not far

Maryoo is an all-suite hotel; has lovely rooms and good breakfast choices. However, the staff needs to brush up on their English is they want more foreigners to stay here. Communication was challenging!
Their towels were also stained and not white!!!
For the price, it is a good deal....

Best rooms are the Ocean facing ones although the rooms are next to an empty plot of land; the rooms may face another building if that plot is occupied in the future!!!

Next best rooms are the pool facing ones although it might be noisy if there are screaming kids in the pool.....

Don't order a taxi from here, rip off. Min 300 baht. No alcohol at bar and don't order any as it's three times the price for them to go next door and get something. And got returned dirty towels when asking for clean ones. Not very good English speaking either so they don't understand what you really want.
Though very quiet as no-one else was in the hotel at all! And in between Chaewang and Bophut made it great for us to travel around on our scooter. Scooter was 150 baht a day which was good as you didn't need to give your passport.

Room Tip: Get the pool side rooms on level one as the beach view rooms have no beach view with other hotels ac...

We booked this not quite realising how out of the way it was from town but it wasn't a big problem as we hired a moped straight from the hotel abit more expensive then the actual hire shops but worth it because you didn't need to give your passport to anyone. Good friendly staff. Great breakfast. And a very nice cosy room with a massive comfy bed and a lovely big shower and a small kitchen. Would defiantly recommend this hotel but only if you can ride a moped or if you don't mind paying taxi fares everywhere. We are going back there in a couple if days.

We had been in hospital with Dengue fever and chose this hotel to continue our recovery. Sadly it was a little too isolated for us. You need your own transport. The beach is through a resort over the road and it isn't the best beach. The swimming was tiled with green tiles, which was unusual, however the water was cloudy, so we never ventured into it.

The room itself was lovely. Large comfortable bed with quality bed linen, feather duvet and 4 pillows. The kitchen area lacked any crockery or cutlery, so was quite pointless. The bathroom was modern with a great rain shower.

We ordered room service and the food was delicious.

We moved after 1 night due to the location.

I stayed at the Maryoo in late march, and even though I enjoyed my experience there was a few things that needed fixing. Firstly, the customer service was average, they were nice and happy to help however they were hard to get a hold of, most of the time they were in the Bar/Dining area and there was never anyone at the reception desk. This made it hard to get a hold of them via phone. The room was clean and well presented however when we asked to have the sheets changed, we got back and they had just made the bed with the same sheet??! We also found that the aircon took along time to cool the room down and the shower tap was constantly dripping. The breaky was always cooked fresh for you and tasted great. The location was perfect for us, it was between Bophut and Chaweng, with only a quick drive to each. But was also nice and quiet and tucked out of the way of the hussle and bussle. Overall we were more than happy with what we got for the price. I'd reccommend the Maryoo!

I love this hotel.

The reason is its ridiculous value if you search a booking site, the rooms are suites, with down like bedding, massive bathroom, and kitchenette, all tastefully done, and clean....

The pool is magnificent, 20 odd metres you can do lengths in, great morning work outs.

Not bothered about the food so much as we are usually out and about. Tip: rent a scooter or car.

So for me I have all the amenities and there no one around, perfect right?

I gave it a four star as it suits me, I reckon people that need attentive staff might get annoyed, but for the money you are paying, this is a hidden gem
