5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2014 via mobile

In Kho Samui directly located on the beach 5 * hotel with a large infinitipool, very well maintained beach. Great pool bar with 3x daily happy hour The breakfast was delightful and varied ,great Restaurant with tables on the beach at night with torch lights are very romantic. Gym with excellent equipment and a well-stocked Library. the Hotel is away 5 min footwolk from Fischersmanns village. There on friday is the Big Night Market .The hotel has a complimentary limousine service for arrival and departure 20 min drive to the Airport . We were verry pleased by friendly and competent whole staff. The stay was unforgetable for us.

We stayed at the Hansar for 16 nights from Dec 25 to Jan 10 2014...
We had airport transfers included in our price and we was collected on time...
Cold cloth and cold water was given to us by the driver which was very nice.
The check in was very smooth with another welcome drink... we was in the room in 15mins after arrival. We had the Sea View XL, lovely bath in the middle of the room made it look very luxurious. Welcome fruit platter was there waiting for us. Our room was huge with very wide balcony. The bed was large and also nice to sleep in. Rain shower wet room that also had a hand held shower tap to. Our room looked out onto the pool which is fabulous, its large to swim in and also has inbuilt spa seats. Every member of staff at the Hansar cannot do enough to help, we did not meet 1 person that did not offer a "hello" or Thai greeting.
We also had in our package complimentary massage at the spa, although I would not personally pay the high cost of massage there both my wife and I loved every minute of it. I myself walked the 5 mins into Fishermans and had my massages there.
We also had complimentary "thai set" meal at the H Bistro, it was like 9 courses and although each course was small we was well fed by nights end.
We enjoyed the very fast free internet service to each room,
The hotel was clean, presentable and very first class.
If I was to make any comment it would be about the breakfast in particular the eggs...
Having stayed at several hotels I have always ordered my eggs at the egg station then walked off to collect my bacon, toast and return to collect my egg etc., but at the Hansar the staff take your order, write it down then go off and your left waiting... you have no idea how long its going to be and more often than not you was left with very cold toast and other food waiting for the eggs to be brought to you.
If your after a quiet holiday in a quiet town then this place is for you. If you want party party party then try Phuket or Pataya
There is basically 1 street that is fishermans village, it contains many restaurants that are priced cheap up to silly money, quite a few bars and pubs... and of course tailors and shops, every Friday is market night and its packed with people. Other than that it reverts back to its normal self.
On the whole this Hotel is nothing short than superb, clean, well maintained, in the best part of the island.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms face the ocean and pool with lovely views however there is a few rooms set to the...

This is one of the best hotels if not .....the best.....I have stayed in through many travels!. If you want to get away from it all and chillout, then this is your place. The staff were very accommodating and the service was out of this world.

The location is just a short 2 minute walk from fishermans village where they cater for all tastes, If you love seafood then its a must as there are lots of places to eat. Views are great from hotel with a fantastic view to Koh Phangan & lovely calm turquoise blue waters. Its more suited to couples looking for a romantic getaway or small family.

The only one draw back was the beach, as the sand wasnt of the fine type, that you would find in the busier Chaweng or Lamai. it was quite coarse, but that did ruin my holiday .........it was a minor for this idilic place in the sun.............Would I go back??....... Most deffinately!

My husband and I were in the beginning of December. We had a honeymoon package and one of the best room with a great view and amazing bath with petals. We came quite late after a long trip and everyone was so nice, we got flower necklaces, drinks....Our room 3203 was amazing when we came. View is nice, but it was so much noise from the music in Fisherman's village restaurants that are located closed to the hotel. For people who have small kids, it can be too laud.

Due to time difference we were waking up early and had breakfast early. Breakfast was nice, but all the food includes too much onion. Even fruit salad with sweet yoghurt has fresh onion. I think this can be reviewed because not so many people Europe start morning with onion. Or maybe they can have the salad without onion and to have a plate with onion for these who likes to have it.

We had a package and it was very nice because every day was colourful. One day we had massage. Hansar's Spa is great and girls are very professional. It was very relaxing.

Also we had a trip around the island, boat tour, Thai cooking class - that was amazing. We even got certificates and nice recipes. The chief Stephen was amazing, she impressed me so much!
Tea ceremony with different sweets was great, dinner on the beach was amazing. Our table was decorated with flowers and food was great....

Restaurant in generally was nice, but some ladies should smile more. Maybe some of them were sick, or sad, but sometimes it was looking kinda rude. For the dinner we were going to restaurants in Fisherman's village. Some of them were really nice with a good food.

When it was checkout we got really disappointed. Of course we had to leave our room before 12.00, but our flight as at 20.00. Reception just told us to leave the room, they told us that we can take shower in another room if we want. They were not so smiling as when we came and it was a moment when i was asking for the key to another room, to take shower, the lady was kind of ignoring me...later we got a chance to take a shower in the room that was used right before us, towels were wet, dental floss sticks were on the sink and some other "female things" in a basket...It was disgusting, but we had to take shower before we left. If you have a little baby, it would be very very uncomfortable.

Finally, we left hotel much earlier and decided to stay in airport, but we were lucky we got an earlier flight to Bangkok and had more time there. We could stay in a lounge, take normal shower and relax in a good sits. Generally, our holiday was great, due to colourful days and good memories that we got earlier and positive attitude before the long flight (4 planes - 21 hour).

Just had a second stay at Hansar Samui Hotel. Once again the experience was an excellent choice. Our room (2105),on the second floor had exceptional views. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There are other outstanding hotels on the island but I don't believe that you can beat this position. The fact that you are a three minute walk to the Fisherman's Village, with a choice of good restaurants, makes evening dinning more varied and interesting. Start off with a sun downer at the Hotel,(2 for the price of 1) at the picturesque outside bar and then wander into the Village for a choice of dinner venues. The Spa offers a good range of treatments and we experienced another exceptional treatment (or two!). We would have no reason to choose another hotel when returning to Koi Samui. December 2013.

Room Tip: I believe that all rooms are a good choice as the hotel grounds are so attractive and well maintaine...

This place is phenomenal. The beds are magical, so comfortable, I had never slept so well in my life! The staff are also so, so nice and helpful, happy hours 2 or 3 times a day, super romantic, great breakfast buffet, and right beside the Fisherman's Market. I loved it here. I want to go back!!

Yes, very close to the Fisherman Village where there are plenty of restaurants and bars but not any real entertainment venues.

We found the Hansar very clean and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Bar prices a little fruity so it is always best to wait for the happy hour. I actually thought the breakfast choice was OK.

Great views out to see and a big swimming pool. One bad note though: we noted that on one day there were a few people who were eating food whilst in the swimming pool.

We would stay there again.
