We stayed for a week at the Peace resort and it was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was clean and well looked after we had booked a Superior Bungalow but on arrival it was not ready so they said they would upgrade us for the night in a Deluxe Villa.

We had to move to our room the following day and to be honest much preferred it and for the inconvenience they gave us a free meal which was fantastic.

The beach was not as nice as we had hoped the sand was very course and the water was quite murky.

It was easy to get to the Fisherman's Village - it would have been much easier to walk along the beach but the sand made it difficult.

All in all it was a lovely hotel and a great place to start our holiday before moving on to Chaweng for four days.

We stayed at Peace Resort for a week and enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for us - on a lovely beach, with Fisherman's Village and other street cafes within easy walking distance. It was therefore peaceful without being isolated. Check-in was fairly easy, although staff were a little disinterested, particularly as my parner's bag had not arrived and we just wanted reassurance that they'd let us know when it did turn up. Perhaps this happens a lot in Ko Samui so doesn't worry staff, but obviously for travellers it is quite a concern.

We were in the standard bungalows which were lovely - you don't have a view as such (just of the other bungalows) but as they're all in a tropical forest area it's too warm really to sit outside. Going to the beach/pool area is by far the norm. The room was nice and roomy, the bathroom a bit more basic and the only gripe would be that some shelving for clothes would be helpful as you do end up living out of a bag (except for clothes you've hung up).

We seemed to be there at a fairly quiet time and there were plenty of beds available by the pool and beach. There is a separate pool area for small children, and also a small jacuzzi pool area as part of the main pool. I had a couple of massages in the area by the pool which might be a bit more expensive than the places further down the road, but it is convenient and by Western standards still very good value (£7 for a 50 mins shoulder/back massage etc).

Although we ate lunch at the hotel quite a few times, there is a small boat that pulls up selling sweetcorns on sticks which are cooked on the beach and I'd recommend that as they were delicious and really cheap. However, service by the pool and at the bar was very good with everything dealt with speedily.

Overall the hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe and is close to lots of great places to eat.

This is only our 3rd day here so far so a full review later on when we return. Just wanted to say to anyone thinking of booking here please do so. This resort and all the staff from the manager down to the gardeners is out of this world. Its a little piece of heaven here on earth. As I stated we will write a full report on our return home. But for now we will enjoy the rest of our holiday. Do not hesitate to book an holiday here we will return.

Overall a very pleasant hotel, nice spacious room with outdoor terrace/bath, private setting surrounded by trees, lovely restaurant overlooking the beach and natural friendly staff. Only complaints would be Bophut rather than the hotel - the beach was disappointing with sand that was very coarse it actually cut our feet making it uncomfortable to walk on. Nothing like the fine powder of Chaweng. Walking along the main road is a bit unpleasant too, but apart from the beach, is the necessary route to walk to the Fisherman's Village.
We really liked the beach massage area, the open views from the restaurant and the bamboo walkways. The hotel is not pretentious is any way and as a result is a nice relaxing place to stay.

Just got back from 11 nights at the Peace Resort. I honestly couldn't have been happier with where we picked. We wandered through a few of the other resorts nearby and non of them matched up to how lovely the grounds are at the Peace Resort.

The staff were all lovely and friendly. We did have a bit of a poor check-in but this is the only gripe I have about our stay. We were upgraded for the first night to a sea breeze bungalow and told to come back for 10am the next day to be relocated, which we did. When we arrived at reception we were told to come back for 12, so we spent a couple of hours on the beach then went back got our stuff and went to reception..to be told to come back at 1...!! It felt a bit like our first day was a little wasted going back and forth but other than that I didn't have any other problems.

This really is a fantastic resort-lovely pool, always sunbeds available around the pool or on the beach. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, apart from breakfast (which was amazingly good!!) so I can't comment on the food there.

I'd read a few reviews of the beach not being as good as some of the others but we visited Chewang during our stay and I can honestly say Bo Phut beach was tonnes better! The sand is a lot coarser but it meant when you were wet and walking across the beach it brushed off easily and you weren't covered! The sea also drops away fairly quickly so you don't have to go far out to be at swimming depth.

This was one of the cheapest places we found where we could stay in our own private villa rather than a hotel room. We were staying in a Deluxe Bungalow and it was perfect for us and we didn't feel overlooked at all.

I absolutely loved staying here and would definitely stay here again if I go back to Koh Samui

My now husband and I stayed here for 5 nights back in February 2011 when we were in Koh Samui for a friends wedding and absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. Upon entering the reception area which was beautifully presented we were then shown to our room after been given a brief tour of the resort. While it is not as flashy or upmarket as some other hotels which we have stayed at since, on the stretch of Bophut beach we loved the relaxed, non-pompus feel of the hotel.

We stayed in a Deluxe Sea Breeze Bungalow and it was perfect. Nice a spacious, clean and quiet.

The pool area is smallish however was just what we were after and it was also nice and close to the pool bar and overlooked the beautiful beach where you could catch the food vendors to grab a nice cheap snack for lunch or a beautiful sarong.

There was a nice wide selection of food at breakfast from what i can remember, however dependent on the time you went, brekkie time could be a little busy. We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel restaurant, for no other reason than we wanted to try the local cuisine. It is just a short stroll into Fishermans Village from the hotel if you would like to branch out.... especially on a Friday night to experience the street market.

The staff were super friendly and you were always greeted with a smile and a cheery 'Sawadee Ka'. Upon checking out, i remember the lady who checked us out said 'hopefully you will choose to stay with us again on your next visit' and we have now booked to return to Peace Resort in February 2015 with our new little baby and we can't wait to get back there.

We have just returned from our trip to Koh Samui and Peace Hotel - we had a wonderful holiday - the Hotel has everything needed for a truly relaxing time. The staff are amazing very friendly and helpful. the amenities were fantastic right on the white sandy beach and very safe for bathing. The restaurant was very nice with lots of choices also with a lunchtime snack menu which included a beer or a soft drink. My daughter and I took advantage of a Thai cookery course which was excellent (we will be more confident now in Thai cooking.

We stayed in a superior Bungalow but when we return we will book a beach front bungalow.

If I were to have one critisism it would be the beds on the beach need a more comfortable matress! but that is a small problem.

There are lots of great restaurants nearby to mention 2 the first is called 56 turn left out the hotel and the second is right next door to the right called K-Siri.

The hotel has a shuttle bus (not free) but cheap - this would take you to Fisshermans Village where there are bars and restaurants galore - the Friday night market should not be missed.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone.
