“Great sea view, friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2014

We had adjoining double and twin rooms both with shower which could be locked off to form a two-room suite. The large double with sea view was lovely, spacious with an enormous bed and wet room. The twin was a bit cramped with a small shower, and no window, so our daughter made use of our large balcony. However, we felt the rooms were great value for the price in terms of location at the quiet end of Bo Phut beach but with an easy walk to all restaurants and bars. We used the little rooftop pool at the Hacienda hotel a few doors down the road. We would have appreciated a bit more 'hotel' service - tea/coffee, facecloths etc - but the mini bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, and breakfast options good.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are great.

I was lucky enough to walk in off the street and get the last available room. The price was a little over my budget but I asked to see the room first as I just needed to crash. I was shown the 2nd floor room with a stunning view over the sea with no one overlooking my balcony an couldn't resist so booked 2 nights.

Try stay in bo phut on a Friday evening as the walking market is amazing and full of great food/drink and great handmade wares.

The bars are laid back and not like the awful tacky ones you find on some of the bigger beaches.

I had 1 huge issue and that was the guest staying in the room next to mine locked an internal door that separated our 2 rooms from the rest of the hotel so I couldn't get in to my room that night. (Luckily I had a mate staying up the other end of the beach so I wasn't stranded) the staff were so apologetic the next day and refunded that night so all was ok.

Also right in front of this place the sea has loads of sharp coral that I sliced my foot on so go swimming a little further up the beach!

We originally booked this hotel online for four nights. We read through the room options and decided to go for the cheapest one as it sounded okay in the room description and the photos looked lovely, we were bitterly disappointed. The room we were given echoed that of
A prison cell. The room had no window and bearly fit the double bed in it. The bathroom was basically just a toilet and shower within a foot of the bed as there is not even a door separating the two. The next morning, however, we contacted reception to ask about a move which they were able to give us. The new room we were offered was beautifully decorated and very big and spacious with a good size bathroom and balcony. This room was double the price (costing 40 euro per night) but I would definitely recommend to anyone to avoide being tempted by the cheap option. Once we moved room we were very happy with our stay here, staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Good to know though, the pool is actually located down the street in the sister hotel.

We stayed in a beach front room which was spacious and comfortable with spectacular views over the bay.
Other rooms are smaller and don't have windows.
There is a small roof top pool at the sister hotel.
Located at the edge of Fisherman's Village close to restaurants, shops and bars.

Room Tip: Book beachfront room

This hotel has a great location. It is right on the beach and close to lots of seaside restaurants. On Friday evening, a night market (with bargains and delicious food) is held just outside the hotel. The room was small but comfortable with a very nice balcony. The only downside was that it has an open bathroom so I was able to hear my partner using the restroom!
The rooftop pool/jacuzzi is not to be missed. Overall, highly recommended.

Stayed in a sea view room with views to die for!! ... We arrived at 7.30am & check in not till 1pm but they let us straight in. Beds are large & rooms are lovely. You get none of the 'extras' but I asked for a hairdryer & they supplied!:) location is fabulous smack in the middle of the fishermans village. One tiny thing there are no mirrors only in the bathroom but it is dark in there, but everything else was so lovely- highly recommend x

Lovely villas if you get the ones overlooking the beach towards Phangan.

The villas are actually a little highrise 3 floors high with a room over looking the beach, one overlooking the front of the hotel, and a little box room that could make the room overlooking the beach into a family suite.

It is 2 minutes’ walk to the Fishermans village, and right by the weekly Friday night market / walking street.

The Bophut beach is not the best, but you can use the pool at l'Hacienda hotel.

The rooms are spacious and well furnished, the bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom is a fabulous wetroom – just needed a bit more lighting as it was a bit dark! Tea / coffee, fridge and safe.

Nice view from the balcony. No lift so not so good for those with walking difficulties.

We choose to have breakfast in fishermans village every day.

It was very good value.

Room Tip: pay a bit more get a room overlooking the sea!
