Had a mixed stay at Six Senses Samui in November 2013. Although the location is naturally appealing the skyline is obliterated by the mammoth construction project on the adjacent headland, with the noise of the goundworks and drilling brain numbing!
I feel this resort has seen better days. By today’s standards it appears tired and run down.
Directed behind the eco-friendly ethos this brand has lost it’s footing in the marketplace as newer and more clinically clean resorts have opened and pushed forward with time.
Food was ordinary and over-priced. Breakfast however was good and plentiful. The villa’s need updating and bringing into line with the tariff which really represents misplaced value.
Staff aim to please and the service is generally good (levels of English are indifferent), but one feels management is distracted and it is here the responsibility for the future of this brand lies.
A very disappointing yet expensive experience never to be repeated!More
