We stayed there for 3 nights, nothing to complain about: the staff is very helpful, the location is quite convenient, very close to the airport without the downsides, the hotel is very nice with pool villas all equipped (small kitchen!). I recommend this choice, mos def

We've stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was clean, small and cute. Staff was friendly. It has beach access but I never saw someone swimming. Web stayed at the studio room though beachfront villas looks amazing. Especially in late night, pure Serenity.

The only negative thing I would say is the location. There's not much to do around rather than Big Buddha which you can easily access with a daily tour from Chaweng or Lamai or anywhere in the island. I would definitely stay at Chaweng next time. Please remember that my review is for the low season, maybe better during high season. What you must do is reyting a vehicle, taxis and rest of the transportation options are blackholes for your pocket.

Dear Respector,

thank you for your review, and for staying with us at Villa Tanamera. Sorry that the location wasn't to your liking, I agree that it is a quiet and relaxing part of the island and taxi or motorbike is needed if one wants to visit Chaweng or Lamai. For most of our customers this is seen as an advantage as those areas are busy and noisy and most people prefer to just visit for the day but actually stay somewhere else, more quiet.

Best regards

Villa tanemera tripadv yorum; rooms are clean, cozy, bathroom and toilet are clean. Lush green athmosphere but the hotel is on the main road. Even at was low season there was too much noise also there is a bar just across the street which is quite noisy too. We stayed at the studio room, probably beachfront villas are more relaxing.
The area is not the best place to stay in samui. Since there are better locations like Chaweng and Lamai there is no need to stay in Bo phut.

Dear Karabay O,

thank you for your review and the nice comments about our rooms and gardens. It is true that the main entrance is on the main road, and the studio room has windows facing both the beach and main road, while all the rest of the villas are in the gardens on the beach side. The studio room is very good value for holiday makers on a budget, and I am sorry you found it noisy. Please note that we are not in fact on Bophut Beach, we are located in Big Buddha Beach. Bophut is the next beach along, West of where we are located. I agree that Chaweng and Lamai are suited to those who are looking for busy areas with bars and nightlife, our beach is more on the quiet side,

Thank you for staying with us,

Myself and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon in 2009 and all i can say is how amazing the hotel and staff were.... I honestly can not say one bad thing about villa Tanamera and Tan was just great to us and booked us in to some really amazing restaurants and really really could just not do enough for us.... anything we asked he instantly knew what we wanted, he made our honeymoon that extra bit speacial. We stayed in one of the beachfront villa's and every morning awoke to have breakfast on the veranda over looking the ocean.... it was so beautifull.... 2 ladies would be just outside (mother and daughter) who would give the greatest massages and i took full advantage of this, they were lovely people. All in all if anyone is thinking od staying here please please do not hesitate, you will never regret it!!! We have sent friends and family to stay and they have all come back saying the same as me and now myself and my husband will be returning with our son in March 2014 for 3 weeks and i can not wait!!

Room Tip: Beach front villas are amazing, a real touch of luxury

My apologies to Tan for taking far too long to write this review.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Villa Tanamera for 5 nights in July this year. The weather was perfect and our host, Tan made everything else fabulous. The accommodation was very comfortable. With only a small number of villas and two apartments, the service was exceptional.

Villa Tanamera was perfect for our family, not too close to the hustle and bustle of the heavier tourist areas but within walking distance of lots of great restaurants, including the Big Buddha Cafe, Khun Ying and U2.

The beach is at the rear of Villa Tanamera and with a little careful negotiation you can find a great swimming spot by walking to the other side of the closest pier, where there are no sharp shells in the sand. There wasn't anybody to hassle us to buy their wares while we swam with the kids. There is a really lovely lady who provides massages just by the back gate. I enjoyed a one hour foot spa and my daughter, a one hour Thai massage for 420 THB (about AUS $13) including a tip.

The villa was cooled with several split systems, and was always a perfect temperature. A large fridge was available to store any food you may enjoy to prepare or store from the nearby 7 Eleven store (a great stop for an ice-cream after dinner on the way home or cheap beer!). On the roof was our own personal patio to enjoy the sunsets over the ocean. The pool was not grand, but great to chill out by with the kids. The food was excellent: fresh and reasonably priced.

Tan quickly won us all over with his charm and helpful advice. He organised tours to the Angthong Marine National Park (a must visit) and great tickets to a night of muay thai, the Fisherman's Village, transport all around the island, and the best seats for dinner at BBC where we enjoyed our last sunset on Koh Samui.

We had a wonderful experience at Villa Tanamera, and cannot thank Tan and his wonderful team enough for making our family holiday just what we wanted it to be - packed full of fun, good food and a little time to relax.

Highly recommended for families that don't need to be where all the other tourists are.

Room Tip: We booked through sawadee.com for a great 5 night deal.

I am sure Ten won't mind the time it took to write the review, we really appreciate it, thank you. It is nice to hear that you had a relaxing time at Villa Tanamera. We like the fact that we are away from the hustle and bustle of busier beaches, but just a short drive away for those who want to experience it. Thank you again for the kind words about the resort and the team here at Villa Tanamera and hope we will have a pleasure of hosting you again in the near future,

My father and I stayed in Samui for around 3 days to visit a friend for her birthday. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by all the staff who showed us to our villa. It was very spacious but at the same time it felt very homely and relaxed. The villa was spotless, which is always a plus :-) It has everything that you need: a TV, kitchenette, en suite bathroom and more. Staff was very helpful if we ever needed anything. The pool isn't that big, but it doesn't need to be, it was very clean and nice. Every morning we had breakfast made for us, which was delicious. Overall, it was really lovely and we enjoyed it very much. If we ever come to Samui again, we'll definitely visit Tanamera again. Thank you!

I spent 6 days at Villa Tanamera. The beachfront villa was airy & spacious with hot showers & air-conditioning. Just paradise, laying on the beachfront deck watching the waves.
Hotel manager Mr Tan was delightful. Always ready with helpful tips on the local attractions & recommendations for the best restaurants around. Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious. They even have a motorbikes for rent. I am already thinking of returning......!

Room Tip: Beachfront.
