We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in November 2009. We arrived in the evening, and the trouble started the very next morning at 10am. There is a construction site not far from the hotel and there is a constant construction noise in the whole resort, including loud hammering and drilling. When we asked the reception if this is going to be all day, they said: No, not all day, just until 5pm! This was every day. On the last 2 days this was topped up by a buldozer digging on the beach, extremely loud, waking us up at 8am and going on the whole day. I understand that there was some problem on the beach that had to be fixed by buldozering for 2 days, but it is not something you want during your romatinc getaway holiday.
Other than that, the resort is lovely, rooms are very nice and clean, we stayed in the low season so the resort was quite empty which means that we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The staff are also nice and friendly. The location is remote, but if this is what you want it is fine.
Breakfast is ok but they ran out of yoghurt on the last day. We didnt use the restaurant too much but whatever we had was ok. We used the shuttle bus once and it was fine.
Our room was Sea View although we could see the sea only through a tiny gap between the trees adn buildings.
Overall this is a nice resort and good value if you want to be in a quiet location. The nearby construction noise is not their fault but it really did bother me a lot. I suggest to check with the hotel if this contruction is still ongoing if you want to avoid disappointment.

The resort is really lovely and, in my opinion, perfect size: Not too big, not too small. The beach part is not really for swimming, I would recommend to take a Tuc-tuc to the north coast. The location is perfect: relax in the resort, and use the free van service to Chaweng (and tip the driver!). But best choice is to rent a car, we found a good price at the airport with Avis (I think it was something like 17€/day!!) and have fun driving. For first-timers I recommend first to take the guided tour around the island, so you get used the way they "drive".
The restaurant is a little bit overpriced. For nice meal I would recommend the "Royal" something, it is in Chaweng road, so close to the Library (they have reasonable priced wine and expresso coffe!).
We had a wonderful Honeymoon there!!!

The Atlantis is a great priced clean and tidy place to park up. Its location is it strength and weakness but the shuttle service into Samui and the closeness of Chon mon mean it is not a real problem. The rooms are big and spacious and we found them to be very clean. The service we found to be friendly and efficient.

This is not a five star and if that is what you are looking for don't come here because you will be disappointed it is a very well appointed 3.5 star with really great rooms. The private beach is good at fukk tide not so good at low but you can go for a short walk and have a swim further down the beach. The pool is big enough given the size of the reort but not huge by any means. This place over delivers on value.
