Good place to start hiking tours an visit to Storms River Mouth. Few things were not satisfying at all. We stayed on the ground floor in one of the chalets. chambermades left the windows at the bathroom open which I think is not a good idea at all. Two of our baby items disappeard from our room. Restaurant food and service was only average. However, breakfast buffet was great. Internet access was commendable (room and public areas). Bed covers in a bad condition (wholes) but clean.

Good morning Bilinungwe N,

Trust you're well.

Thank you for your feedback. I had a look at our reservations system, and was trying to check in which room/s you've stayed, but cannot find it. Can you please let me know which room/s you've stayed at so I can follow up?

Thanks for advising us about the open windows. I will follow it up with the housekeeper. We stay in such a safe village and never had any items disappearing from the rooms. I'm sorry about the two items that went missing!

Hope you had a fantastic holiday!

Kind regards, Irma

The location is very nice near the Tsitsikamma National Park. If you want to shop some food or something, there is a little supermarket just round the corner. The location was very clean and the room was comfortable. I would come here again. NIce people, very delicious breakfast.

The Village Inn is a variety of different style cottages etc all set around a large lawn/garden. We had a cottage with it's own outside seating area which was great especially as we had good weather. The restuarant we used on site for breakfast and evening meal was well run with very helpful staff. The room was large but the bathroom needed some updating.

This was an excellent hotel for an overnight stay and would be also good for a longer stay. Spacious grounds surrounded by examples of old regional buildings made it very different from the average hotel.
The management and staff were extremely helpful and genuinely welcoming.
In room Wi-Fi would have been helpful for a longer stay, but not essential for a single night.

We stayed in one of the “Swiss Chalet” style rooms on the upper floor. The room was comfortable and clean, though a small fridge would have been welcome. The (outside) stairs to the room are quite steep, and can be slippery when wet. Care is required. Breakfast in the De Oude Martha Restaurant was excellent (buffet style but with eggs cooked to order) and the food and service in the Hunter’s Pub most enjoyable. We would visit again, but would try to book one on the more expensive colonial-style rooms.

Dear Russel H,

Trust you're well.

Thank you for your feedback. Appreciate. :)

On the steps to the upstairs rooms, we have put down non-slips strips, but I'll just double-check to see that everything is still fine. Thank you.

Come visit again. Kind regards, Irma

I was in the Stables and was very upset that the wardrobe had no door. Who wants people passing looking into the room and seeing all your belongings???
This is a VERY POOR OVERSIGHT in my opinion of the interior decorators.
Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Dear Lyn P,

Trust you're well.

Thank you for giving us feedback. The Barn Rooms were designed as 'open-plan', with and industrial, recycled look, which is so in, and we love it.

When you walk past, you actually cannot see inside the room. You also do have privacy with the voil and the curtains, and a veranda. Sorry that this was disappointing to you. Did you check with front office if we did not maybe have another room type available for you? On your next visit, you're welcome to stay in a Village Room or Premier Room. :)

Take care. Kind regards, Irma
