Een van die beste oornag plekke nog, skoon verblyf, heerlike pub etes en 'n wenner ontbyt - sal weer gaan. Brilliant, extremely friendly staff, clean accommodation and fantastic pub food. The breakfast was my daughter's favourite.

We booked a 5 night trip at Tsitsikamma Village Inn for 2 adults and a 7 year old, 5 year old and 1 1/2 year old. We stayed in two interconnecting 'Village Rooms', which was essentially two ensuite hotel rooms with double bed in one room, and two singles and the baby cot in another - Rooms 7 and 8.

This is a great place for young families. The central grass area is a lovely safe space for the kids to run around and play and meet new friends. There is a jungle gym, sand pit, and swimming pool a bit further away from the main rooms. Kids need to be supervised there, but we had lots of fun.

We ate in the main restaurant for breakfast - which had a lovely wide selection for our fussy monsters. The kids ate supper in the pub restaurant - R25 to R30 for kids meals (chicken nuggets, viennas and chips, toasted sandwiches). Kids food could be served with some veggies - we ordered a side portion to share. Our top tip is ordering take - away dinner from the bar later in the evening to eat at the dining table in our room. This made meal times much less stressful and meant we could have a glass of wine once the kids were all asleep.

Rooms were very neat and clean - nice crisp white sheets on the beds. The bathrooms could do with updating, but were fine. It seems the new owners are putting a lot of effort in to updating.

We would definitely recommend the Tsitsikamma Village Inn as a destination for families, if you are looking for somewhere in Stormsriver.

For those grown ups without noisy children, the soundproofing in the rooms was excellent.

Dear BusyMom,

Trust you're well, and are enjoying sunshine as well.

So wonderful to hear, thank you. :) It really means a lot to us that you are noticing that we are updating constantly....we are really trying very hard all the time. :) This year we'll be upgrading our swimming pool and surrounding area, and next year our log rooms. So maybe with your next visit you'll see a couple of more changes.

Take care. We're looking forward to hosting you again.

Kind regards, Irma

We enjoyed our stay at the Tsitsikamma Village Inn. The room was nice and clean and the heating worked very well. The bathroom was equipped with a bath tube and a shower. The food in the pub was excellent.

Thank you to all the staff at the Tsitsikamma Village Inn. We went down to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary with them and were treated to a wonderful weekend, made very special by friendly and efficient staff! The only thing we missed this time were the couch and the big crackling fire in the bar area which were there previously...

My wife an I stay here on the second night of our Garden Route journey after staying in PE the night previously. This location is especially attractive for younger people doing adventure activities, but my wife and I found this location to be a great place for us to stay. The cottage where we stayed was quite comfortable and clean. We felt safe here in this cluster of cottages. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant had exceptional food. I had a wonderful lab chop dinner with great mashed potatoes and my wife had a large fish filet. The deserts were fantastic. The total tab with appetizers, dessert, and drinks was about $35 US. It was an exceptional value for what would have been over three times that price in Chicago. Moreover, the quality of the lamb was exceptional. The only problem we had was the Internet coverage was not good in our cottage; so, we had to use our devices closer to the main office. The breakfast that was part of the package was quite good. Overall, this was an excellent value. Other eating options close to the property are few and nothing special, but do provide some quick options for families doing outdoor activities--especially with children. The nearby forest does provide opportunity to see what large Yellow Wood trees look like that previously populated much of this area before aggressive timber harvesting a long time ago.
