Robert was a wonderful host at this charming bed and breakfast. The location was fantastic, the garden idyllic and our room beautiful. Previous reviews have said what we just want to reiterate. We recommend this accommodation and Robert's care and advice highly.

The setting of Le Moulin Neuf is that of a story book, a charming French country home draped in blooming vines and surrounded by reflecting ponds and streams. Our host, Robert, was delightful, ensuring we had a memorable experience as we picnicked on the property with our own treats and wine found locally. His breakfasts and coffee are delectable and prepared fresh every day, accompanied by the best coffee we enjoyed on our entire trip. Our rooms were furnished in keeping with the design of the French countryside and bathrooms were modern and immaculate. This B&B is perfect for couples, friends, or family!

We just loved every thing about Le Moulin Neuf: From the lovely location, the attention to detail in the accommodation, to the breakfasts and of course the host Robert, who is so kind, helpful and laid back.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had booked to stay at Le Moulin Neuf for three nights last summer but sadly our car broke down and we could only stay for one night. Whilst there another guest told us that his family came regularly, flying from Leeds/Bradford Airport to Bergerac, which is only 25 miles away, and hiring a car. Immediately we thought of returning this way, since Leeds/Bradford is our local airport, and it was very easy and straightforward to do. This time we stayed for a week. The owner, Robert Chappell, has thought of all the things that many bed and breakfast owners don't think of and all is calm and comfort. Lovely breakfasts, beautiful grounds, immaculate rooms in a beautiful old building. Robert lives in the house next door and brings breakfast over in the morning. He has two delightful and very well-behaved dogs which add character! A pretty stream flows through the grounds and the garden is delightful.
This b and b is ideally situated in the midst of all the Dordogne's greatest attractions - - caves, prehistory, chateaux, countryside, gardens - and there's an excellent restaurant, Chez Julien, in nearby Paunat, a ten-minute walk away. We had some lovely walks round about and Robert is always helpful, giving directions and lending us a detailed map of the area. One thing that particularly impressed us was all the local flora and fauna - there is so much else going on in this area that it isn't always mentioned.
We want to return there as soon as possible. It's wonderful. Many thanks, Robert.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely and all ensuite, in a self-contained guest house, and there's a comfort...

We were a group of friends going to a wedding in a nearby village. The bride's family recommended Moulin Neuf as the best place to stay in the area and we were not disappointed. Robert is the perfect host and the accommodation and extensive gardens are an absolute delight.
After a hot day travelling it was a pleasure to be greeted by cold drinks served outside the charming guest accommodation, with the sound of birds and a natural stream running close by. The gardens are a riot of flowers, with beautiful mature trees and a cool shady pond. Robert's dogs are enthusiastic and very well behaved companions for a stroll around this idyllic and secluded place, surrounded by countryside yet close to some delightful riverside villages with excellent restaurants which Robert will book for you if you wish. .
I must also mention the breakfasts - freshly squeezed juices, hot pastries and bread, endless fresh coffee and tea as well as the usual choices made a wonderful start to the day.
We cannot recommend Moulin Neuf too highly - it is perfect.

Room Tip: There is no air conditioning so make sure you can keep a window open and shutters closed. The rooms...

If you want a very warm welcome, a beautiful location and base to explore the Dordogne, a great room serviced every day and an excellent breakfast then choose Le Moulin Neuf. We spent 4 days there in May 2013 and found Robert to be the perfect host. Nothing was a problem and his advice about the area was most helpful.

This B & B is one of the best we stayed in during our 4 week holiday in France. Highly recommended.
