Definitely worth a visit while near St Emilion. We ate in the "gastronomic" section and truly enjoyed the meal, the wine, the service and the ambience. I am sure that while there, we were the only English speaking folk in the dining room (including the waiter), and the place was full. A very authentic, old-school restaurant at very reasonable prices. Skip central St. Emilion and head to this Clos.

Before dinner have an aperitif in the terrace in back of the restaurant - picture a Bali rice field view but instead with vineyards... one of the best vistas I have ever seen.

The food is on par with the view -- and the prices very reasonable.

Definitely worth the short drive from St Emillion.

We ate in the bistro ( there is also a gastronomic room next to the bistro) - the service was good until the end when it took forever to get the bill. Good food but not exceptional. Nice terrace with great views for the summer. Recommended but could do a bit better.

Hard to find and a long way from everywhere but worth the effort to get there.
In a pretty little St. Emilion satellite village, Clos Mirande is one of the best restaurants in the Gironde and has not missed a beat on my visits for lunches and dinners over the last few years.
Food is creative, interesting and a feast for the eyes as well as taste buds.
My pork stuffed with prunes was mouthwatering, and while we did not do the menu of the day it looked great at the table next to us.
Wonderful setting under the trees on back terrace looking out over vineyards, though interior is comfortable and elegant for evenings.
Extensive wine list and good service from delightful owners.
Parking in front is a bit limited so I always book at midday for lunch to get an early spot inside, as on a narrow lane way.

Amazing overall experience, so very much enjoyed the homely and relaxed atmosphere, the whole experience was stunning, A great menu covering regional specialities and a few house specials, if you do get the opportunity try the Grand Marnier Soufflé; incredible. Very good service friendly and efficient. The wines from the Montagne region are well worth trying plus good value for money. I will be returning sometime soon.
