our family of 4 went to South England this summer and had the pleasure to stay four nights at The Timbers. We just loved it; very nice family, cosy and clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. The area was also interesting, close to Bath, Bristol, Salisbury and Stonehenge.
We can highly recommend the place to everyone.

We stayed at the Timbers for a short break in August 2011. We received a warm welcome from Jacky and Ray and were made to feel very much at home. The family room was great as the our children had their own room with an adjoining door to our room. The children's room actually had three beds! The breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. All in all our two night stay was great and was very sad to leave and actually wished we had stayed for a little longer!

Family suite was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room for family with 3 young children (10, 8 & 2), each had their own bed in the adjoining room. Each room had freeview TV on a flatscreen with built in DVD player. Accomodation for 5 is rare to find and this was a treat. Suite had own entrance from garden, which was accessible for our use. Little extras in the rooms like DVD's, games, books and puzzles kept the kids amused. Ray and Jacky were great hosts, very welcoming from the moment we arrived and full of useful tips on places to visit. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and more than enough to keep you going, we didn't manage to clear the plates on any of our 3 days there! This was our first visit to the area, primarily to visit the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, but managed to squeeze in Longleat and quick trips around Bristol and Bath. There are lots more places to visit in the area and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

Room Tip: Book the family suite!

It was our first family holiday with our baby and so did not know what to expect, but Jackie and Ray made us feel very welcome and at home. They accommodated us with a clean room and cot for our baby, an excellent breakfast which set us up for the day and fantastic hospitality. We had a lovely holiday, the B&B was easy access to Bath, Farrington Gurney Golf Club and Longlete, all places we planned to visit. I could not rate them high enough - thank you very much for a memorable holiday and hope to see you again soon. Helen, Neil & Mae Ebdon - Devon
