“Never again. Up till gone 3 most nights”

The staff are friendly. Especially the guy helping you every morning with sunbeds. Always offering help.
waiter staff were efficient.
Some of the servers (ice cream man, bar staff, snack servers) grumpy. Management (women one) was very rude and abrupt when asked simple questions.
Food was ok repetitive but ok.
first night was Saturday and after travelling all day couldn't wait to relax but couldn't by 3am was in tears wanting to go home as music was blaring from entertainment area (directly below our room) kids 10,9&4still up as room was vvibrating from bass music. Finally got to sleep about 4 and 6 o'clock woken up by people getting sunbeds out and reserved....
Music is played from 10-6 during the day and will give you a headache with all the bass.
thought it was Saturday night be better the rest of week but no if it wasn't the entertainment blaring music it was one of the many clubs surrounding the hotel.
I thought it was a family place but got that wrong as kids and parents need to sleep. I say good luck to anyone going here with kids and hope it is not as bad as my experience. ..

We had a lovely time in the Esra Hotel. The food was great and very varied. All the staff were extremely friendly and mainly spoke very good English. Although the hotel is quite far from the Airport, the transfers were very stress-free. There was a Migros supermarket across the road and the hotel was a 5 minute walk from a small beach and a 20 minute walk from a bigger beach and many tourist-y shops! The food was very good and there was lots of choice! We loved the pizza from the Snack-bar. The room was on the second floor and with a great view. The pool was great and the slides were also really fun. We mainly stayed around the central pool (the one near the lobby) and had great fun. The room was quite standard, for five of us we has 2 double beds and 2 single beds. The only down side to the room was the card system, you have to enter the key card into a slot to turn on the power (sockets, air con and lights). This means you can't charge your phone or keep the room cool (with the air con) when you're not in the room. The safety deposit boxes were 50 lira but were quite small and you didn't get a deposit back when you return the key, so you could just keep the key. The drinks were fine but the sprite tasted a bit strange and they only filled up two thirds of the glass at a time. The fruit juices could be quite weak at some times but you just have to keep ot running. The wi-fi does not work, you can connect to the wi-fi but I couldn't personally load any web-pages or apps. Good hotel but could be improved.

Just returned from esra hotel turkey after booking a late deal and have read a few reviews to sum I agree but as my family of four we enjoyed our stay the restaurant staff are five star the best service I have ever received abroad , the bar staff also pleasant and as for the early morning sun bed men who carry everything u need to whatever part of the pool they are lovely too. The restaurant is nice and we have to remember we are in turkey not London and so therefore they eat a lot more healthier than us Brits so may not be to every bodies taste, I do agree the children's area needs a little more choice but as a general very clean and nice and if u like chicken yr sorted lol, the maid service is outstanding and if u like that little lie in that's fine they will come back later to fully clean room and decorate yr bed with towel swans and flowers 'a lovely touch' .
Migros supermarket opposite be aware and count yr change!!!! .
Entertainment by memo and crew very nice greeting all guests every morning .
The drinks inclusive is great no cheap coke or lemonade .
My only negative feeling is that if u want a sun lounger u have to be down by 630 am! Because they are reserved by swarms of towels wen guests then go back to their room til later !
Apart from this met some lovely people and would defo return again remember u are in turkey and traditions do differ to us in the uk.
Didim water park a must , pirate ship day cruise a must and a purchase from DVD David's shop down town and u can't go far wrong oh and one last thing wifi only free in reception !!!!!!

Room Tip: A little noisy in the night so ask for a room at the back if u have little ones facing the pool.

Well where do I start, the reception hotel needs new staff (apart from the English speaking guy called kalam he was absolutely lovely) arrived around 1.30 am in the morning, the room was awful!! We are 3 adults staying and we ended up getting two single beds and a old rusty sofa bed which wasn't even set into a bed! Room was very small and dull, not happy at all. Rang reception and the lady with short black hair said that's wat we paid for a standard room so bare in mind. Me and my Nanie ended up going down to look at other rooms with kalam bare in mind the lights don't come in time so it was all dark the sensors are useless! As goin down some stairs my Nanie didn't see the second step the layout of if coz of NO LIGHTS and ended up falling over thank god she put her hands down on the floor coz she would of smashed her head.. Kalam was very helpful and making sure my Nanie was fine. It's a health and safety hazard and should be fixed! The two ladies didn't even bother to ask me Nanie how she was they was just speaking Turkish and smiling which was very rude! In the end they said we had no rooms left which I said there's no more available are your sure? Then they started speaking Turkish and gave us another room to look at this was a family suite room very nice and spacious. Had to pay 70 pounds for this room!! They never offerd us anything for complimentary! For the accident my Nanie had it was disgusting how they handled it. The entertainment people are fantastic memo is really friendly and always smiling also the waiter staff in the restaurant, over all experience it was ok, Altinkum is a very nice place to visit. Not this hotel!

I read many reviews before going so went with an open mind. The rooms are basic but tidy and semi cleaned everyday. The food is lovely yes is can be repetitive but it is eatable and mostly alway chips for kids, the snack bar is great they do the most delish pizza!!!! There is always fruit and a great selection of salads which is gorgiz. The pool area is always spotless and the kids love the slides. The wifi is crap but there is two bars across the road wifi is great. There is a games room with computers, Xbox, pool table, table tennis which is next to nothing, so when it's too warm this is great benefit. Slides at pool also hotel is great.

You must definitely go across the road to Zanzibar bar, this is owned by Julia and Taylan and if you are reading this guys, you are the perfect bar owners and Taylan I will miss you voice on mic lol.....this bar is the friendliest bar in Altinkum and on your doorstep for excellent cocktails, great dancing and not forgetting the karaoke.....We miss you!!!!!!

I will def be back at the Esra value for money if you looking for 5 star then look elsewhere.....
