Ta Maria is a peaceful and carefully renovated guesthouse with excellent location and friendly hosts, including the resident cat Sir Marmalade. The rooms were impeccably clean, the common areas dotted with magazines and local tourist information. Beach towels, snorkelling gear, sunscreen and cosmetics were left at our disposal. Breakfast is a delicious buffet with fresh fruit, cold cuts, bread, yogurt and pastries. We were also offered a cooked breakfast and fresh cakes...served in the courtyard by the swimming pool in the shade of the palm trees. In the evenings we used the kitchen and the barbecue to cook up our own meals. The local bird hunters woke us up the first morning, but that isn't an issue if you close the windows. I would recommend calling 15-20 minutes before you arrive as the hosts do not live on site and you may otherwise need to wait for them to arrive. We got lost the first time trying to find the guesthouse, so a good tip would be to follow the signs to Villagg XXX, which is right across the street. Overall Ta Maria is a wonderful and relaxing stay, a great base for exploring Gozo.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay stay here. Only downside was that we wished it could have been for longer! Large room, use of verandah on our floor with lovely views, use of kitchen for the occasional cuppa ( oh and a piece of home made cake!). This is much more than the usual B and B. Breakfast by the pool, and a lot of choice.
Will definitely return and recommend.
Just remember you need big pockets for the medieval keys!

We just returned from a 5 nights stay at Maria's B&B and had a brilliant time.
Beautiful, quiet and clean house with large bedrooms simply and nicely decorated, good breakfast (cakes and fruits and/or cooked breakfast) and very pretty pool (which can be a little cold but I guess we were in Gozo end of October). It's a great find - and super good value too. We were woken up by hunters (it was hunting season apparently) every morning but this was not a huge issue for us and we were completely relaxed and rested by the end of our stay.

The closest beach is a beautiful rocky cove; very nice walk (about 45 minutes) though not completely straight forward. We would definitely stay at the B&B again.

The village is quite remote which has its charms. We were travelling by bus or feet only and we would recommend hiring a car or scooter as it can be a bit of challenge as there is only 1 bus an hour (same for every bus line on the island). Likewise I can imagine it can be nice to be away from the crowd during the busier summer months.

We used Joey's taxi (+356 99427271) and would recommend him any day. He rescued us from a secluded beach when our other taxi driver didn't pick us up and arranged a smooth and inexpensive transfer to Malta's airport for us.

This hotel was great stayed for 4 nights and loved it. The rooms were traditional medieval style and were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was served around the pool and breakfast and service was always great. Such a cute and magical place with traditional furniture throughout. The cakes served with breakfast were different everyday and always yum! Not far from bus stop buses came every hour. Would stay again in a heart beat. :)

This place is amazing. There were 12 of us that stayed at this place and it was a great experience.

The rooms were medieval yet very inviting. The rooms were cleaned as we ate breakfast and ready by the time we were done.

The breakfast was great. Sonia is a great cook. Always happy to cook breakfast and very fast and efficient.

I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

We had the most wonderful and relaxing 7 nights at Maria's B&B in early August. Our room was very impressive with high stone walls, view over the pool and extremely comfy bed. With daily house keeping the room and bathroom were kept impeccably clean and were a joy to return to after a long day exploring the island in the sun - particularly as there was a fan and mosquito nets on the windows. The owners were fantastic and amazingly helpful from organising transfers from the airport on arrival to the delicious breakfasts and tasty cakes made daily for the guests. They arranged bikes for us to explore the island and also gave us medical advice and directions to the doctors when I annoyingly suffered an ear infection.
The ability to use the kitchen and have allocated fridge space was an extra bonus - if we wanted to eat in one evening, we could prepare supper and enjoy out by the pool or on our balcony enjoying the beautiful views of the countryside.
Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Room Tip: We had room 4 which was large, airy, with pool views.

My wife and I had a lovely 5 night stay in July. The room was larger than expected. We had free fans to keep it cool. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely cakes. Bacon and eggs. Mosquito netted window in room. Beautiful building. Very helpful owners. Sonia is a great host, and her travel advice was really good. It is quiet, private and tranquil. You'll need a hire car to appreciate the location. There's a supermarket shop 2 mins by car. It takes 10 minutes to get to the coast in most directions for lots of good swimming. Highly recommended for a restful break and for those who like a bit more of an adventure.
