We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in June, and what a great stay we had! The staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't be more helpful! The restaurants in the hotel are also five star quality especially the "Inventions" restaurant. From sea food to meat dishes and a range of delicious deserts to choose from everything was just YUM! with an added view of the disney park.
The location of the hotel gives it its last star, with private lifts to drop you straight at the gates of the park and a few minutes walk to both Disney Village and Walt Disney Studios. Cant wait to save up and visit again!

Room Tip: Use the luggage services that they provide. Yes you have to pay but at least you don't have to l...

As anyone will know who has priced up Disneyland this hotel carries a premium but with a young family this is more than worth it for the ease of location.

The hotel itself is fantastic as soon as you walk in, the staff are all in period American costume and very polite and friendly. Check in was a breeze and the Disney Express Baggage service meant all bags were left at the Eurostar station and the guy checking us in even arranged for these to be dropped directly into our room while we were out.

The rooms are spacious and good working air con, plenty of charachter. Mini bar is priced horrendously on first glance bug compared to prices throughout the parks it's actually in line with them.

We used the pool which is very small but you aren't coming to Disneyland for swimming and it was perfect for chilling out in between perk visits.

The location is exactly as per the title, immediately in front of the park and ideal for our family of two small boys and an older girl meaning one of us could take the boys back for a rest when they were tired and the other could stay out late with a small walk home at night. You also get to enter the park 2 hours before regular ticket holders.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold buffet choice and Disney characters to meet before and even waving to you from balconies

Having stayed at this hotel now we cannot ever contemplate staying in any other Disney hotel in future, it really is the best

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel due to its convenience. It is situated right at the entrance to the parks so you don't have to worry about taking a shuttle or driving and finding parking. And you can just pop back whenever your kids are tired or need a change of clothes or if you've forgotten anything. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very luxurious and quite magical for both children and adults. The hotel restaurants are fabulous and the characters come around to the tables. The food was all excellent. There are also characters who come around after breakfast and you can have your photo taken with them. Our children got to have their photos taken with Micky and Minnie, which was very exciting! Our little one, who had her fifth birthday there, wore her princesses dresses to every meal and felt like a real princess. The staff were all very helpful and I really can't fault this hotel. Yes it's expensive but it is a five star experience and you do pay for the fantastic location. You also get fast passes with this hotel which is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. A magical place.

Having just come back from a 4 day trip to Disney we are still revelling in the magic. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times before but this was our first experience in the Castle Club. To me it was worth every penny simply because of the VIP fast passes that were provided. They simply negated the word queue! We arrived at all fast pass rides anytime of day and got straight on - bearing in mind it's summer time and the park is incredibly busy. The Ratatouille ride alone had a 90 min wait but we simply waltzed to the front with our VIP passes. Breakfast in the morning in the Castle Club lounge was quiet meaning we had the characters all to ourselves. Our room 2405, had a balcony overlooking the castle allowing us to have a prime view of 'Disney Dreams' at 11pm each night. I think we all have to dilute our vision of a 5 star hotel when you stay at Disney - but the location of this hotel in relation to the park gives it that extra star.

If you have a hungry family a top tip is to buy your food vouchers beforehand. We went for 'Premium Full Board' giving us the added lunch and dinner package. There are various other options to choose from but we did a little due diligence beforehand and it was a huge saving. On average a restaurant premium lunch per adult can cost up to 60 euros and we reckon that we saved about 400 Euros doing it this way.

Another top tip! If you are celebrating some kind of birthday/anniversary/proposal, it's a good idea to let the hotel know. It was our daughter's birthday and on arrival to our room they had written her name in chocolate coins along with a minnie mouse toy. Little touches like this will certainly make me come back again and especially to the Castle Club.

Room Tip: Upgrade your package and stay in a park view room with a balcony - giving you great views of Disney...

Have stayed here, including in Castle Club, probably 10 times in past 15-ish years. Various combinations of us as the family have grown up.

OK, so it's all assertively Disney themed and you just have to roll with that and not let it get to you (why are we here otherwise?). Just go with the flow and it's wonderful.

CC guests get early/privileged access to the park and the concierges will organise FastPasses - saves hours of queueing and gets maximum value from all possible rides throughout the park, though as a parent, doing Pirates / Thunder Mountain / Temple of Doom / Small World more than about 4 times in a row can get exhausting...if still fun every time.

Evenings, open your panoramic windows and watch the parades / fireworks / Castle light shows (mind-blowing) / seasonal themed stuff / steam trains passing directly outside. Swim. Run into Mickey, or Mary Poppins, in the corridor or over breakfast. If you're 5 - 15 years old and into Disney (or are parents of same and appreciate them being 100% happily occupied), this is basically paradise.

Room Tip: Corner (turret) rooms are best. Also the higher you go, the smarter, if that's your thing. If...

It's location and service combined that make this great. We went half board and food all buffet style and very good. Rooms large and clean. Reception is beautiful and smells lovely! I would go again next week if I could afford it. Loads of characters at breakfast and on reception.
