“An idyllic week at Tranquility Farmhouse”
Reviewed 21 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We recently spent an idyllic week in Gozo at Tranquility Farmhouse.
Peter and Toni arranged for transport from the airport and across the ferry by Gozo Way taxi, at a very reasonable rate. We arrived without any problem thanks to Joe.
Peter and Toni were there to meet us and guide us around the house, Peter built himself.
His pride is justified, when you first see the quality of the building.
Peter and Toni also provided us with a generous welcome pack including home grown fruit and salad.
Other then occasionally bumping into them and passing the time of day they remained very unobtrusive during the holiday despite living across the road.
Tranquility House is a beautiful, spacious and very comfortable home with high quality furnishings and everything you could ask for including a wonderful clean and sparkling pool at just the right temperature to keep cool in the heat of the Malta sun.
The wifi was efficient for the teenagers with us to keep up to date with friends etc
The outside sunbathing areas were excellent with a BBQ area available.

There are a lot of steps to the top floor which may restrict some people with mobility issues but our party dealt with these fine.
We loved Gozo for its very laid back way of life and found the people very friendly and interesting.
Nadur itself has shops and bars well within walking distance of Tranquility Farmhouse.
We must make mention of Marag, the bar owned by Frances and Tony who were a port in a storm on our first day when two of the party went for a walk and got lost!
We spent many a happy time mixing with the local people and fascinating at Tony's card tricks etc
We also made good use of the splendid Maxokk Pizza and Ftira takeaway, just around the corner.
We would recommend Gozo and Tranquility Farmhouse to anyone looking for a place to live up to it's name of Tranquility and we wish Peter and Toni all the best with future bookings.

“large, airy, well cared for farmhouse”
Reviewed 16 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We have just returned from a ten day stay at Tranquility farmhouse in Nadur, Gozo. The house is large and airy and very well cared for by the owners Peter and Toni who live accross the street.Toni is from New York and Peter is from Gozo and speaks with a New York accent having worked there. They could not have been more warm and welcoming without being intrusive at all. A few useful groceries were provided including a lovely bowl of fresh fruit which meant we did not have to shop right away. We had everything we needed at the house and it all worked well. We had a very comfortable stay.
The house is a short easy and level walk into town, about 5mins. where there are useful shops and a few places to eat, we ate at Raboks and the pizza was good. There is a good market in Nadur on Wednesdays. We had a hired car and although there are plenty of people using buses, we felt a car was best for getting around and eating at some very good resturants, we liked Tad Dutch in Qala, The Boat House and Ta Karolina in Xlendi.
We found the people of Nadur to be very freindly and we loved Gozo and hope to return and would definately return to Peter and Toni's house.

Beautiful, charming, extremely spacious, what more do you need.

We have stayed here twice, as a family of 5 and the following year as a family of 3. The farmhouse is in pristine condition, large open space living kitchen area, which is great when you have kids. The pool is a perfect size for what you need to do. Rooms are spacious, beds are so comfy, bathrooms/ensuites are immaculate, showers are powerful which is a bonus when compared to other farmhouses. You are also spoiled with Sky Tv and wifi.

The farmhouse is situated in the village off Nadur that is only a 5min drive from the ferry. You can walk to the village square in 5 mins where you will find, St Peter & Paul's church, this is a must to visit, it is truly stunning. You will also find Gebbuba wine bar which is a great place to chill at night, rabbokk pizzeria serves lovely food, there is also a cafe, can't remember the name, it was nice to go in for a coffee and some cake, bank, newsagents and some other little shops. There is also a market which takes place on a Wednesday, great bargains to be had. From the square you can catch the bus and go all over the island.

Toniann & Peter were excellent and couldnt have done anything else to make our stay more enjoyable, relaxed, comfortable.

We would highly recommend this farmhouse and will return soon.

“Terrific Accomodation and Hosts.”

Booked via Tripadvisor at very short notice after a few email exhchanges. (Got the week off for Jubilee in early June).

Flew with RyanAir from Edinburgh to Malta. Got X1 bus to Cirkewwa Harbour for the Ferry to Gozo, the bus seems to take forever (1:15hr) with local roadworks, but v cheap about 5 Euros for the two of us..

25 min pleasant Ferry ride later we arrived in Mgarr Harbour.

Toni met us from Mgarr Harbour, to drive us the 10 minutes up the hill to the quiet village of Nadur.

Toni introduced us to the Farmhouse that is just across the street from where she lives with her husband Pete. Its within easy walking distance to Nadur village sq with its impressive Cathedral and local bars + supermarket.

The Farmhouse is on 3 floors, with balconies and private pool area. Pete built it himself, it really is an impressively designed and finished stone building.

Toni and Pete recommended local restuarants, and places to see (beaches, Inland sea/Blue Hole,Fungus Rock).

We hired a car from Avis one day, worth it to scoot around the island, just keep an eye out for other drivers, locals arent exactly hestitant.

I did a few local dives so having the pool area to fresh water rinse my wetsuit with hose and let it dry out was also useful.

First night we went to the local Pizzeria, Raboks. Terrific Prawn pizza, one of the best I've ever had, bumped into Toni & Pete there, they got the waiter to send us some free Hopleaf (good local ales) over to our table, cheers! :)

Also tried out 22Four (soon to be Tad Dutch) in Qala (pronounced Alla), v good.

It was good that our hosts lived so local in case we needed anything during the week, we really didnt apart from the kind offer of a lift back to the harbour from Toni for our departure and Pete kindly organising transport back to Malta Airport with a local private hire taxi business to pick us up, which worked out very well.

Would definitely recommend, if you think the photos look good, you should see the place, its far better and more secluded than the photos give the impression of.

Considering how late we booked I feel very fortunate to of rented probably one of the best places on the island. Hope you enjoy your break there as much as we did!
