This is THE kind Fine Dining Restaurant that I had in my mind! with a french style like in my country, but under tropical weather, and obviously on an amazing beach! Just even the place has to be seen as when you go there, your mood in converting to a serene and romanric mood!, even if you are not ...
Dining on the Beach or dining near the Pool is an experience that you cannot miss. I recommend you trust all recipes from Chef Gilles, he is the kind ao guy that put all his generiosity in the dishes, and you taste it for sure! First witth the eyes , dishes are originally decorated, your nose is also put on contribution 'cause you just want to smell the artistic plate! than when you put the 1st spoon in your mouth with the amuse bouche, you know already that you 're going to spend a great night!
If you like wine, you can also choose from a nice selection; Sauvignon Blanc from new Zealand , or Italian Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir from France or great values from Chile, you will definitely be happy with it!
Thanks to the whole team at the sercvice as they were very respectful and charming.
A "must try"in Samui!

During my last stay at Koh Samui back in June I had to pleasure to enjoy an amazing evening at "The Lanterns". We arrived at 7 pm and we were already impressed by the amazing set up and ambiance of the restaurant. We arrived a bit earlier to the resort which I can only highly recommend as the scenery is just breathtaking by enjoying a cocktail while watching the sunset. After our drink we started our dining experience around 7pm. We decided to choose the menu with the matching wines, which was recommended by a friend of mine. Already the Amuse bouche was incredible tasty and nicely presented and all the other courses continued on the same level. The service was very welcoming and attentive at any time. In overall, we had a fantastic night and I will highly recommend this to my friends from Koh Samui.

A memorable meal. Fishes and lobster were exquisite, perfectly cooked and served beautifully. We took the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was divine. The chef finely mixes his southern french skills and thai cuisine influences. Fusion can be great when it is mastered like this and when it respects traditions. Desserts were very good but, unlike the rest, lacked creativity in taste (not in presentation). Service was good but far from Michelin star level (which was probably not the objective) whereas the food easily deserved a star or two. Bravo chef !!

During our stay at Napasai, we had dinner twice at the lanterns, the fine dinning restaurant of the hotel, the first time we tried the menu degustation, which sugests 7 dishes with a different glass of wine each, everything was exellent from the decoration to the taste. The second time we chose to have dinner a la carte (because the menu degustation is excellent but hearty) and we had as much pleasure as the first time
It was our best dinner experience in Samui.

During our last stay at Napasai we decided to eat in the fine dining restaurant “The Lanterns”. Already at our arrival, the location of the restaurant, which is situated next to the infinity pool of the hotel and the amazing open-air design with view at the sea, gave us the impression of a high-class restaurant. The Mediterranean food the restaurant is offering is absolutely delicious and the service was helpful and very kind at any time. We ate the 7 course Set menu, accompanied by a different wine per course which was an extraordinary experience. Every course was decorated with a lot of details and high creativity. I would definitely recommend “The Lanterns” for a nice evening and we will eat there again when we come back next year.
