After reading the reviews on here, we decided to give it a whirl and were not disappointed!
On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us a choice of where to sit; they even asked if we wanted to turn the music down.
Once seated, we chose from a great menu and ordered spring rolls and Thai ravioli. Wow! So fresh and tasty. The ravioli comes highly recommended.
For mains we had phad Thai and a beef, chilli and basil dish - both delicious.
We both had the home made ice cream for dessert and the flavours were deep and intense.
Now, it's the setting that makes this place. It literally is a garden but beautifully laid out, not one table intrudes on any other.
Well worth a visit.

We visited John's Garden 3 times in our stay in Mae Nam. We absolutely enjoyed everything we ate there. Spring rolls, fish fillets with a curry sauce, chicken with green curry, morning glory (which I think they called Chinese vegetables),and another stir fry vegetable dish(name?). We had others, but I just can't recall as it's been a month. They will adjust the heat level to your taste, so if you want it spicy, be sure to let them know.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was great, especially at night. Price was reasonable.

The Masaman curry is to die for, and the other meals are pretty good too. Go in the evening as all really prettily lit up. Good service and well priced.

We ate here 3 times during our stay at Samui Buri earlier this month, and each time the food was excellent, Charly and his staff were great, the garden is a haven of tranquility, with tables placed far apart to make it more intimate. The lighting is lovely, showing off the garden to it's best. We sat in the bar area for a gin and tonic on our last visit, and wouldn't want to leave this review without a mention to the ladies doing the cooking, great work ladies, ask for a pay rise, you deserve it.
Well done everyone...

We arrivd early and were initially surprised with how quiet the resteraunt was, although loads of tables had been reserved and it soon started to fill up, by the time we left there was not a spare table. Lovely location with very friendly and accommodating staff, relaxed atmosphere and gorgeous food. Our waiter recommded a massaman curry as we wanted something wish some spice this ended up being the best food that we ordered that night. Not as cheap as some places on the island although you pay for the quality food and surroundings which is definetly worth the price!!
