My first trip to Koh Samui last week. Hotel a little isolated from main towns but quiet with a beautiful beach uncluttered with the usual beach hawkers and jet ski hire men.
Accommodation was in a superior beach villa which was not on the beach ( non are ). Basic and comfortable except for the aircon unit which was so noisy it could not be used at night. The bathroom was a very basic wet room without hot water and a shower that was most ineffective.
Very comfortable bed.
Breakfast is good if repetitive but I wouldn't eat or drink there for anything else, it is far too expensive and relatively poor quality. Step outside the hotel and enter a far superior dining experience at any street food outlet.
My main criticism was the staff. Usually the Thai people are friendly, smiling and helpful. Not at this resort. No smiles at all just very sad looking people going about a daily chore with no enthusiasm at all.
A two star resort badly in need of a new energetic manager who can invigorate his staff.

Room Tip: Forget the villas. Opt for the newer and cheaper hotel rooms.

Dear Pinnacle Guest,

Thank you for choosing Pinnacle Samui Resort & Spa for your stay on Koh Samui and we apologize for not living up to your expectations.

Please be assured that your comment regarding the water pressure is well noted and will be taken into consideration for future improvements to the hotel.

Problems with the hot water boiler should always be reported to the reception or our room maids.
They will sent within 10 minutes an engineer to the room, who will fix these problems immediately.
Unfortunately you not gave us any report about this issue.

Please write me an e-mail to psmgm@pinnaclehotels.com about your experience with our restaurant, that we can go ahead with the investigation why we not met your expectations.

The point about the not smiling staff was already discussed with our department heads during our last meeting.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Mike M.

Is very beautiful garden here and a good hotel beach with white sand and sand-grains are enough big, itˇs good because donˇt stick to body:))))!
On the beach also is intresting bar: Black Rose, but it open only at evening.
Very tasty breakfast, with a little kitchen, where you can order some omlets or friedeggs...The buffet is located by the look of sea - i think a good start of day!!!;).
Clean rooms and clean room service is good!
We lived not at villa;), but at the hotel building on the 3rd floor=).
Only minus: when sea isnˇt peaceful many staff in water.

Thank you for a lovely week of beach side relaxation. A beautiful resort, away from the busy tourist side of the island. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay with some lovely restaurants near by but no crazy nightclub bars - this is your place! Make sure you see the lovely couple that own the bike store across the road for all your taxi and motorbike needs! We will be back for sure!

We found this resort to be quite enjoyable with good beach front, surrounding garden, and friendly service. The food may be a little bid more expensive but good quality than what was sold nearby by but after a day of outing, it was quite convenient. The evening walk along the wide beach was very pleasant.

We always enjoyed coming to Thailand and visited beach resorts in the southern part of the country. The beach here in Samui was really quiet and long for morning or afternoon walk. Samui is still one of the least developed area when compared to Phuket and Pataya. It is more difficult to find medium price hotel to stay now a day.
