Stayed here for 6 days on my travels with the missus, finally a soft bed!! Not sure if its just my luck with hotels but I always seem to get stitched up with the rock hard mattress...get what you pay for I supose. Theyve attempted the rustic, artistic look for the rooms and corridoors but comes off a bit prison, asylum-ish still was clean however so thought it pretty was cool. Decent pool on the roof and the buffet breakfast isnt bad either, the gyms basic and lacks as it is in the corner of the restaurant and has glass walls so cant really use in the mornings or evenings when people are eating..unless your one of them people that like a crowd when you workout!! Probs would stay closer to chaweng next time but if you want something away from the hussel of the nightlife then this will suit you, but you will need some sort of transportation as taxi's are dear from amarin to anywhere!!

Arrived to a drinks reception and were shown to our room. Spotlessly clean room, contemporary corridors with modern art, comfy beds and friendly staff.

We stayed here for 9 nights, area is quiet but we didnt mind that. I would recommend moped hire for 250 bhat per day to visit bo phut at night and chaweng in the day if here for an extended period of time. Mea nam has some good places to eat dotted around. Uncle Noi's is a stonethrow away (excellent food). The beach of Mea Nam is not the best but good for a night time stroll in company to the few bars/restaurants. The food at the hotel is excellent including both the restaurant and room service.

DVD hire is a nice touch. I also used the gym and the pool area. All more than suitable. The staff and management were super nice. There is a longer haired gentleman on reception who is amazingly helpful (sorry I never took his name!)

Top marks, my favourite hotel of our 3 week trip visiting a number of hotrls accross Thailand.

The hotel is perched right on the non-beach side of the road which circumnavigates the island & is therefore rarely quiet.
The room was spacious & bathroom adequate.
The best feature of the hotel is the swimming pool on the top floor. Lunch by the pool with a view of nearby islands was enjoyable.
It's very difficult to get around without some sort of transport but the hotel can arrange a good number of activities.
The staff were lovely, always ready with a smile, but really 10 days was too long.

The design of this hotel is well made with a european style finish.
Rooms are clean and spacious!
I wasn't expecting this level of attention for the price I paid (less than 35$/night). I got an amazing service and really fast. I had my laundry done in 4 hours without paying an extra :).

If you're looking for a quite location with a clean and calm beach near by (less than 5 minute by motorcycle), this hotel is clearly for you. The beach near hotel is really great.
If you're looking for action and dynamic, you better stay in Chaweng!
In chaweng, I'd suggest VertiColour. you can read my review of this hotel!

I stayed here for a week last year and was really comfortable. It's like $40 a night, and the staff is great -- very accommodating and super nice. I think this was a great deal for what it is.

It's not quite beachside, but the beach is a 5-10 minute walk down to the main strip where you can access all the great restaurants and get a massage on the beach.

Booked the hotel last minute. The hotel is in a alright location, takes quite a while to get to the beach but we were there only to relax. The hotel service was very good and people were very helpful. Rooms were clean, didn't get to use the pool but it looked nice.

The rooms are as shown in the pictures, I really liked the air con lobby with the big sofas and magazines. A lovely touch was the tea light oil burner which was lit in the bathroom on arrival making the room smell great. No balcony but the pool on the roof was great and very quiet with comfy sun loungers. The only downside was that the hotels on the main road and 10 mins walk to get to the beach and restaurants. We had the best pad Thai in a restaurant called 'moon' something- sorry cant remember exactly but was run by a German guy. Also had a great massage in a place to the left of the hotel. The night market on a thurs night in maenam is worth a visit, cocktails on the street 50baht and tons of street food.
