Owner description: A stunning Victorian lodge, superbly located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the village of Kincraig between the Cairngorms and Monadhliath mountain ranges. This Kincraig self-catering lodge is equal distance from Aviemore to the north and Kingussie to the south and guests will love the traditional features, combined with 'old world charm' and the benefits of modern facilities. High ceilings and lots of space set this Kincraig self-catering lodge apart from other cottages, and the ground floor has two stunning sitting rooms, one with an open fire and the other with a woodburner, while both have big settees and great views of the mountain ranges from the windows. The impressive formal dining room comes complete with massive square table and tartan dining chairs, and is a perfect place for a special meal prepared in the lovely bespoke fitted kitchen just next door. All the bedrooms in this Kincraig self-catering lodge have lovely views, and benefit from en-suite facilities.

Stayed here with some friends last week and it was delightful.
The lodge itself is beautiful, both inside and outside, and very spacious. We had more than enough room for 15 of us.

Being within a 5 minute drive from Aviemore it has lots of great things to do all within a close distance (most of us were away snowboarding).

The pub attached is great, a small quiet place that is a rare change of pace from what you come across in a city.

It has been said in other reviews but Mike and Wendy really are great hosts!

Would definitely go again.

The lodge itself is very spacious with plenty room for a large group to eat together and both lounges are great. Our bedroom and ensuite were very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the mountains at the back. There was also space for our 6 cars at the side of the building.

The bar beside the lodge was very nice and it's a quiet place so there's no noise coming through to the lodge.

The location is perfect for exploring the area, it's a short drive to Aviemore and the Cairngorms if you are looking for a skiing/boarding base.

Mike and Wendy are great hosts, very friendly and helpful.

I would love to come back here again!

Stayed here with family and friends, very glad we found this place. It had a good location in the village of Kincraig, just 10 minutes from Aviemore town centre and about 20 to get up the hill if you're a skier or walker. Also is just a few minutes from the A9 if you want to explore further a field. Kincraig was a nice quiet village with a small shop just a short walk from the lodge, ideal for picking up essentials.
The lodge itself had great facilities, a beautiful kitchen, cozy lounge with a fire, comfortable bedrooms (the four poster bed was amazing) a spacious garden and a fantastic hot tub too!!!

The bar was also wonderful, only small but with a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere, the regulars were all very friendly, there was even a fiddle player on the Saturday night that we really enjoyed. They had a selection of local ales and plenty of whiskey behind the bar!

Finally Mike and Wendy were great hosts, very helpful and were happy to go the extra mile to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (the puppy was very cute too)

Can't wait to come back again

The Suidhe Lodge offered an amazing place to stay in the snowy Scottish mountains.

Hot tub was great with a few drinks while the snow fell all around.

Went with a group of my work friends from the Aberdeen Oil industry. Usually spend the winter in the Alps however decided to dust up on the winter sports in the Cairngorms.

Great experience. Friendly locals/owners, great facilities, great value and a good range of things to do in all weather conditions.
