We recently stated here for two weeks in early July and it was amazing. As close to a perfect five-star hotel as you can get.

From the moment you enter the hotel you are treated to a warm welcome; a fruity cocktail and a cold flannel after which the staff show you the grounds and take you to your rooms. The reception is stunning and has amazing views of the beach and the hotel's main restaurants.

We stayed in the Sea Grape rooms, which I can't recommend enough. They are right on the beach and you get a spacious patio area with a comfy sofa with cushions, a table and then two very comfortable sun loungers and a hammock. The rooms themselves are really spacious themselves, the bathroom in particular is huge with a whirlpool bath and separate shower. The skylight really brightens up the bathroom and is a nice touch. What's even better is that they provide you with Molton brown products to use in the bathrooms. We did have one day where the water had been switched off, but the staff were really good at sorting out the problem and did seem genuinely helpful. After that we had no other issues.

The rooms also come equipped with a TV with an extensive channel list, a DVD player, coffee maker, toaster and a mini bar which is stocked daily and an ice bucket (this will come in very useful during your stay!), glasses and tea cups. There is a large seating area and although our room was meant for two people, the whole family could easily fit in the sitting room area as the sofa and chairs are very large. The hotel staff were great, as we were not only able to have two rooms next to each other, but interconnecting rooms too. The rooms also came with lockable patio doors, and an extra mosquito netting door which is another thing that comes in very handy! If you are travelling here - bring lots of insect repellant and insect bite cream and you will need it. The hotel does fumigate on a weekly basis (I think) but you still get bitten sometimes just walking to breakfast or dinner. Overall the rooms were one of the best parts of our stay, spacious, really well equipped and in the most PERFECT location. Just a few steps outside of your room and you're on the beach!

The beach itself is lovely, it was quite quiet and the hotel staff only put out sun loungers for rooms they know are occupied so we always had enough chairs and no rushing to save sunbeds either! There are no parsols on the beach, only on your patio, however there are lots of palm trees and almond trees along the beach which give you adequate cover. There are a few sellers on the beach, but they are very friendly and not pushy. The security guards also patrol often so you feel very safe. What's even better is they have staff who walk up and down the beach offering cold flannels and also drinks from the bar. The beach is also quiet - it's not packed with children or people as most people stay in their patios. There are some locals who sit on the beach but they don't really bother anyone and they come mostly at the end of the day or at the weekend.

The restaurants were another great part of our stay. The breakfast menu is to die for. They have such amazing fresh tropical fruit and local juices which change daily. They also make the best french toast I've ever had! There is something to suit everyone, even my fussy family. The large menu also means you never get bored with the selection. The lunch menu needs some improvement as there is not a lot of selection for vegetarians, sometimes I had to order off the childrens menu just to get a plain pizza as there wasn't a big selection for me. However this menu changes daily and the staff are always happy to accomodate your needs. Dinner in the main restaurant is where they really pull out all the stops - they have a seven course menu which ranges usually has something for everyone. The food here suits western pallettes but also showcases some of the local food in Grenada. Honestly, I've never eaten so well in my life. The food is all beautifully presented and the sorbet's are so delicious. Sometimes we'd plan to eat a lighter lunch just to be able to eat all seven courses on the menu (you can skip some of the courses if you'd prefer).

The staff should get a special mention too. From the minute you step into the hotel they look after you, are friendly, helpful and are very efficient. They really go the extra mile, for example when we walked into the restaurant and we were wearing dark clothing, they provided us with black napkins to avoid white lint on our clothing. It's small things like that that show they really go the extra mile.

I think this was probably one of the best holiday's I've been to in my life. Everything was taken care of, the hotel is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

A few tips about going - go during early July when the schools aren't off yet so you can have a quiet holiday, choose the Sea Grape rooms for the best location along the beach, bring lots of bug spray.

I already miss this hotel, it was an amazing stay - if you're having doubts about booking this, don't, it's worth every penny!

Room Tip: Choose Sea Grape - they also offer interconnecting rooms if you need them.

I think that this is the best out of all six hotels I have visited in Grenada. The rooms are gorgeous, with entrances to the most spectacular beach on the island...this is luxury combined with practicality and makes for the PERFECT stay. I was on business, but would definitely go back for a pleasure trip!

Room Tip: Choose a sea grape room for a fantastic view!

Well, what can we say! we spent 10 days at the resort and cannot fault it. If you are looking for a lively party atmosphere, drinking all day and dancing all night go some place else. If you are looking for a small, classy, up market, spotless hotel where the location is amazing and the food is out of this world then come here. The staff are sooooo nice, everybody knows your name (only 64 rooms) Did I mention the food is amazing?? 7 courses every night, lunch as much as you want to order, the Chef is superb. Grenada is the nicest island we have been to (visited Antigua & St Lucia a lot) The location of the hotel is breath taking, on the best beach in Grenada, and did I mention that the food is amazing???.....Cannot fault it, go on treat yourselves ....BRILLIANT! ...The Shandley's

Room Tip: Pick a sea grape room near the main hotel complex (not near the water sports area)

I recently stayed for two nights at this boutique hotel that has the most amazing location on a Grand Anse beach. As a family owned hotel your are made to feel welcomed by all members of staff who all seem to know your name when you arrive and even enter the dinning room for the first time. The Sea Grape suites make you feel like you are in paradise. We enjoyed stay at this hotel and it deserves its top ranking.

However there were a few things that made us feel that we were being pushed to leave by the checkout time of 12 noon. On the morning of our last day no cushions were placed on our lounge chairs compared to other guests, That made us feel as if the staff knowing of our check out time felt that were we were not entitled to this amenity. Thus discouraging us from going for a swim or lazing in the sun. The true caring of well being before check out came from the bartender LuDonna who asked what time our flight was and then suggested that we should order a take-away box so that we could have something to eat since there were limited eating places at the airport. We were touched by her thoughtful gesture, as lunch is served at 12:30. Somehow the strict adherence to what meals you are entitled to before check-in which you are informed of before arrival and departure makes you feel that the "family" concept is valid from check in time to check-out time. Other than that a lovely hotel!!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our names from all the staff, which I think sets hotels apart from each other. This six diamond hotel has earned every one of them. We stayed at one of the Sea Grape rooms, which are exceptional! They are on the beach and are very clean and supply every need in a home away from home. The meals are exceptional as well. Lunch is great and has many varieties for every person's desires. The dinner menu changes every night and is fantastic. Apparently, Friday night is a buffet night and we were kind of anxious as we do not care for buffets. We were delighted with the buffet as there were so many different things to choose from that you will not be disappointed. The spa is also magnificent. I love stone massages and my treatment was great right down to the stones between the toes!!!!! We were very happy. I will only stay at this hotel the next time I go to Grenada, and there will be a next time!

Room Tip: The Sea Grapes rooms are right on the beach. Footsteps to the ocean. Fantastic
