“Great hotel and staff”

I've just returned from my holiday in Grenada staying at Grand Beach. The staff were always friendly and if we had any problems it was sorted very quickly and efficiently. The one little thing I'd comment on is the front door to the rooms are very heavy to open and if you're laden with things even more difficult but that is minor. I'd definitely stay there again

We stayed at the very well renovated Grenada Grand Beach Resort Hotel for a week over Easter. The grounds are beautiful with amazing waterfall pools, the rooms are comfortable and have all you need (big beds, wi-fi, fridge, terrace, tv, hairdryer, free toiletries) the food served in the bars and restaurants is really good although there were always a few dishes they didn't have. A big plus for this hotel is the location. It is based right on the gorgeous Grand Anse beachfront but is also near Grand Anse shopping centre which has a supermarket and bus stops that make it easy to get into the main town of St Georges.
The staff at the hotel are all friendly and you feel safe with security patrolling the grounds. However the front desk really take their time to respond to any queries you might have and even though our package included bed & breakfast, something we were made to prove every morning, we were still charged extra for it and ammending the bill took forever. Also, halfway through our stay the hotel policy changed and they tried to make everyone sign a bill at breakfast. We refused to do this as it would mean signing twice for something that was already paid for. Our refusal earned us suspicious, frustrated looks from staff but they let it go. In my opinion the breakfast issue could easily be resolved by ensuring that the maître 'd desk at the restaurant is manned at all times and those who haven't pre-paid should pay at point of entry. This system works in other hotels and would work here too and patrons would feel less unfairly criminalised by staff. The computer system also needs an upgrade to ensure those of us that have prepaid is noted and so that bills are quicker to amend when mistakes are made. The hotel is lovely and we will definitely stay there again if these issues are resolved.

We arrived and found the hotel to be everything we hoped for. The staff were all welcoming, the gardens and pools wonderful and the location at the centre of Grand Anse Beach was excellent. Although the hotel is undergoing some renovations, there were no disruptions to our holiday. There were limited restaurants but as the season is drawing to a close, this did not affect us in any way. Ramona and Richard were exceptional in their approach to making changes and although very quiet, we had a wonderful stay. We met some lovely people, especially Ann & Ted from Colorado who will be starting off on their diving trip tomorrow .............. we wait to see their safe return on trip advisor please !! There are local bars and restaurants to be enjoyed and we would certainly recommend Le Chateau as the food, service and people were all outstanding. The beach seller's are regularly trying to flog their wares but are not intrusive and walk away if you politely say 'no' without any hassle A lot of people think you cannot walk around safely outside of the resort but we found it very safe with no worries at all.

Fantastic hotel situated right on the beach. Everything has been recently renovated. View from beach front room is amazing white sand and ocean and at night sounds of waves will put you to sleep easily. The resort is beautifully mantained, just amazing the landscaping, the pool, the beach.
We arrived when season ended so the beach and hotel was almost empty ( yay !!! and that what we wanted ). Staff and management are very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Grand Beach Resort. All the employees were very courteous, especially Sevannah at the front desk who answered all my questions and gave me suggestions about the best tourist and local spots on the island. I would definitely go back to this lovely resort on Grand Anse beach!

My partner and I arrived 4/21 at 7:30p. When I requested a different room, we were pleasantly accommodated by the manager, Georgette Davis. In fact, everyone we encountered at the resort epitomized a high level of customer care and professionalism. Having managed financial industry conferences for many years, I can tell you that the memorable hotel is a result of good service from good people. This hotel is one we'll revisit for many reasons: nicely maintained facility, great pool, beachfront location, delicious food. But the people who work there are the biggest reason: Carmen in the bar mixing delectable concoctions that she serves with genuine charm and good humor, Lyndon helping with luggage cheerfully, Antonia who went out out of her way at the front desk to help with our tour activities, and Ramona, the general manager, who stopped by the bar one night and chatted with us. Even the grounds workers and security guards were friendly and helpful, answering our questions about the resort and making recommendations: Marilyn who was always so pleasant, greeting us by name and asking about our stay, Allen and Phillip who explained the redesign of some landscaping and suggested Bingo night at Prickly Bay (great fun, by the way). And that's just naming a few folks who contributed to making our holiday truly memorable. Thank you, Radisson, for making our holiday so special.

This is a beautiful property that is managed IMHO poorly.

Don't arrive after 10 PM if you want to have a cold bottle of water to rehydrate because you're not going to get it. Once the bar closes, no water for you. Ice seems equally difficult to get although that came, but I hate to drink tap water anywhere, but with a quality brand like Radisson, which I've stayed with in many locations, I would expect something more than an empty fridge.
On check in, which seemed stupidly complicated, I asked if there was a minibar or bottled water in the room, and no-one at the front desk knew anything. I asked other stupid questions to which no-one knew those answers either.
The room was rather spartan, but otherwise comfortable in a parched sort of way.

The beachfront and pool area is beautiful, and the bar service (when it was open the next day) was good. Went in for dinner, had a very nice waitress who started the exchange by listing what they don't have on the menu, which was about half the menu.
I finally had the soup and spaghetti (which my wife doesn't let me eat) and it was pretty good, no problems there.

Room Tip: Bring your own water.
