this is the most amazing place for a relaxing holiday. upon our arrival we were upgraded to a villa which was defintely a great surprise. the room itself was very spacious and decorated very stylishly. the staff ensured that we were well looked after, being from the house keeping crew to the duty managers. everyone was very friendly and always approachable. we enjoyed our stay so much that we havent stopped raving to our friends and family about our amazing experience.

We have just arrived back from 14 nights at this beautiful place. We booked back in Jan and I've spent months reading all the reviews until it was our turn to go.
This place if just great. Quiet relaxing location with lovely rooms and views across the bay.
Always plenty of loungers and places to crash out. We loved the landside pool for its peacefulness but went down to to main pool in the afternoon for lunch and happy hour.
We loved the gym which also has steam room and sauna facilities....brilliant.

We ate in the restaurants at the hotel every day and never had abad meal....even room service was very nice and prompt. Pizzas were unexpectly nice and the prices were great also.
Best local restaurant is Sawswadee down on the seafront before you get to the Aquarium.

My wife and I love massage and usually had 2 every day. We tried all of the 6 places along the strip opposite the hotel and without doubt the best is called MOOK ANDA. Its in a white building
just to the left of the hotel entrance, directly under the Indian restaurant (which was also very good). This is by far the cleanest, most professional, and friendlliest place with english speaking staff. Ask for Nigh or Cook they are the best ladies. About $10 for an hour massage...!

I sit back at home now really missing the Radisson and all the lovely people who worked there. It's the really nice staff, from the managers (Tony) to pool guys (Boony) and our room attendant (Brite) who all went the extra mile to be kind, efficient and unfailingly nice. The staff are what makes this hotel great.......well done Radisson......we dream of coming back already..Thank you.

Room Tip: Rooms above the Landside pool are quiet with good views. Also near the gym and not to far from resta...

We travelled to Phuket on 13th June for 4 days. We had not be there before but had had many mixed reports so we chose to spend our time in the quieter southern tip of Phuket. Originally we were booked into The Everson, Bon Island , but 2 weeks before we left they informed us that they were closing for renovations so they recommended the Radisson Blu assuring us it was of equal quality and value. When we arrived, I was bitterly disappointed. The staff were not attentive on our arrival, the foyer is not welcoming and our room looked like it needed to be brought up into the 21st century - it looked tired and the cushions were stained and there was mould in the bathroom. Our airconditioning didn't work properly - it was either full bore or not effective and blew straight onto the side of the bed I was sleeping on - . Even though we asked for it to be looked at, no-one ever came. Breakfast was good but due to renovations being done on the decking adjacent to the outdoor eating area, you had to eat inside due to the noise and sawdust. The pool area was good but no-one came to assist with putting umbrellas up of changing wet towels left by other guests and we certainly never got asked if we would like a drink.
All in all, I would rate this 3.5 stars on previous experiences but having talked to other people staying in Phuket I gathered that the standard of the hotels in general is on the down side of 5 star. Also, if you want to go shopping, this hotel is a long way from any markets or shops - this did not bother us though.

Meet at airport, we like this especially at 1am in the morning as we are older travlers. The hotel is about 40 mins from the airport.Nice friendly welcome by reception staff at 1am in the morning. When we arrived we had hoped for a sea view, however there where none available, they gave us a junior suite instead by he pool and it exceeded our expectations. It was so nice to get up and walk out our door into the pool.In hind sight much nicer then a sea view as there are so many places you can sit,and view the sea around the complex.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well serviced.Perhaps the one thing to be aware they don't replace the coffee, tea etc. This is really not such a big deal as there is a well stocked mart across the Road and we bought the coffes we like there.

The hotel is everything we were looking for and more. We could have stayed longer then the eight days we had booked, perhaps the first time we have felt like this about a holiday destination.

To all the lovely smiley staff you are a credit to the hotel.

Would we recommend and come back. YES for sure.

Recently stayed at Radisson for 25th Wedding Anniversary, could not have stayed anywhere better. 5 star service, food and accommadation. Unbelievably relaxing, beautiful location. Hardest decision was which cocktail to choose at Happy Hour! Away from hustle of Patong don't fo here if you want vibrant night life. Cross the road for first class massages, beauty treatments etc. Private beach front and choice of pools, excellent restaurants with great choice of food. Very good value for money, will definately go back.

Room Tip: We had a deluxe sea view room, quiet and overlooking resort and ocean, superb.

I've been pretty slow at writing this reveiw sorry!

We stayed here with another couple (separate rooms) in September 2010. This is a five star resort. We had no drama's while we were there. The pools, food, service and location are all fantastic. We liked the location as it was out of the hussle and bussle of Patong but only around 40mins in a taxi (hire the car across the road through the 7-11 supermarket) or a tuk tuk. Tuk tuk's were cheaper but often hard to find outside of the resort. The guy across the road uses his own car but you pay him. He took us to the night markets for shopping and picked us up! Great guy- just make sure you bargain and agree on a price before you get in.

Food:
The breakfast was buffet style and included eggs cooked any way you like, has browns, pancakes, fruit, hot dishes you name it! And the chocolate crossaints and pastries were some of the best i have had in my life!
The dinner and lunch was resort prices but really good. We only ate there one night. The rest of the time we walked or catched a taxi to the few thai restaurants around. Most do normal food aswell but stick to the thai if i were you!

Rooms:
Spacious rooms with waterfall showers and really comfy beds, Air con was awesome and really cold and the bath was huge! Balconies looked over the pretty water and bay.

Location:
45mins from main part of Phuket by taxi or i think there was a shuttle bus. But you do not get hassled and it is quiet so it was a great choice!
The beach was not really ideal for swimming and nothing compared to Australia but nice sand to relax on and pretty blue water. (we layed by the pool most of the time!)
The two pools were great one even had spa jets with massage beds. The swim up bar was the best! Drinks were pricey compared to outside the resort but happy hour cocktails were great.

Things around the resort:
The massages across the road were cheap and you got what you paid for. Traditional thai massage(lady sitting on your back stretching etc) Really good but!

The restaurant accross the road was cheap but the one down the road going right out of the resort was alot better. You can walk there along the beach and some rocks from the resort. Cheap beers!

I highly recommend this hotel for those wanting to escape it all. For party goers and people that want to do lots of tours and trips its probaly a bit far but 30mins-45mins to each one is great to see the area and locals!!!

Enjoy!

Room Tip: Try to get a higher level room to get a veiw. Ground floor did not look like they had any veiws.
