The resort was ok apart from the cockroaches and mice 🤮 the food was disgusting and the staff only know your name when you are leaving and asking for a tip as if you wouldn’t. Unlike any AIP it ends at 12 o/c so if you have a late flight you have to pay... I’m not expressed and I will not go back to this resort eva

Thank you for sharing your comment on your stay at Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa.
I am saddened to read your report as we did our utmost while you were among us. It would have been a pleasure if you could have discuss these issues with the Management Team during your stay instead that you have had to resort to TripAdvisor,
Please note that Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa has contracted one of the best pest prevention providers in Mauritius following industry standards and for which detailed logs are recorded. The hotel certainly does not have a pest problem. The hotel is located next to a protected nature reserve and within reason natural inhabitants will venture across the boundaries from time to time. This is dealt with by our pest prevention provider in short time using environmentally friendly methods. One certainly cannot expect a hotel set in the beautiful natural environment of Mauritius to eradicate all natural wildlife in the surrounding areas.
I am surprised at your comments on the attitude of the Team Members. From our many reviews it is apparent that one of the key strengths of Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa has always been the friendly Team Members. However we will be attentive to this comment.
We are shocked that you feel ‘scammed’ in the All Inclusive deal. Through the years we have always maintained absolute integrity with our Tour Operators in relation to the various package details and the communication thereof. We rely on our Tour Operators to ensure that all information is well communicated prior to arrival of our guests and even more the check-in and check-out time as well as the detail package is communicated to all guests upon arrival.
As per international standards and most hotels in Mauritius check-in time is at 14h00 and checkout time is at 12h00. Whenever possible Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa will always make a room available earlier (upon arrival) or later (upon departure) subject to availability .All consumption over the check-out time is normally chargeable.

We hope to have the opportunity to enhance your stay at Jalsa Beach in near future.

      Stayed at Jalsa Beach Mauritius with my family of 6 including my 85yr old mother.
      The deluxe room on the ground floor was big, clean and ideal for my mum who was able to walk straight out onto the pool and beach. Breakfast overlooking the splendid gardens and pool was very relaxing. The hotel offers a level of service that is second to none. Management and all staff from the reception, restaurant, beauty salon/spa, bar, boutique, housekeepers, porters and waiters provided a service with a smile and were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel also arranged a hairstylist and makeup artist to arrive at 6am on the day of the wedding which we had to attend. The restaurant is well catered for all tastes and the food was excellent.
      We were all indeed looked after by all very very well, especially my elderly mum. Last but not least our thanks to the restaurant manager Rajan, Ketsia, Vanessa, Dhiresh, Avinash and Sharmilee for the exceptional service.
      Hope to visit again some day.

      nice place to stay , quiet, right on the beach , rooms facing sea is very romantic , pool is small but ok
      food was average not many options , the bar was also limited in options
      it is away from a market so cant stroll away from the hotel , staff was good

      This place is an excellent place, beach side with lot of facilities. one can have a complete piece of mind. specially morning walk on the hotel beach is an amazing experience. The turquoise color water with sun raise develops pleasant atmosphere.

      Staff are welcoming and do their very best to accommodate all your needs. Food is good - good selection of salads ( good variety , changed daily ), mains ( veggie and non veg , Indian and western selections and Deserts ( home made apple pie, plum pie, tiramisu, puff pastry tarts) . All in all very recommended. One suggestion would be to get a heated pool and children activities. Although my 6 year old enjoyed the beach , shell picking .

      1) rooms were dirty with spider web in the room and lizard and had to call housekeeping multiple time for the same
      2) security issues are there as my money got stolen from the locker of my room and they were not at tall supportive to do the enquiry

      Firstly we thank you for your feedback as it is very important for the management and staff to understand the needs of our guests in order to continually improve the end product. It would appear that you had a mixed experience at Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa.
      The Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa team has only one objective and that is that all our guests have a memorable holiday experience at both the hotel and within Mauritius. Regrettably this was not the end result in your case and for that we apologize
      Our rooms are verified by the Housekeeping Supervisor prior to all arrivals as per standard hotel procedures. However we do extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

      On your departure day at the Reception counter you declared that you have lost money on the last night from your locked electronic safe. After verification of your electronic door lock system, only your room card was used to open the door and no other access was found.
      I use this opportunity to encourage any guest at Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa to embrace our offer that the management and staff are here to assist our guests in any matter.
      The management is always on site and always willing to assist to fulfill the requests of our guests. We encourage guests who read this review to take note of this.
