I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, who allowed us to have the breakfast even before the expected time, since we had to leave. They also arranged a taxi for us, at a good condition. Good breakfast, great location. Very nice view.

Great hotel and staff. Excellent location for visiting Taormina. Walking distance to the Funivia that takes you up to Taormina. Our rooms opened up to a deck with a gorgeous view of the bay. Spacious breakfast room with a plenty of delicious selections. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was easy to find using our GPS but parking was difficult since the hotel entrance was on a busy thoroughfare on the side of a mountain. I paid 2 euros to park for an hour in the tourist parking lot around the corner from the hotel so my wife and I could check in. We then were able to relocate our car up the mountain a bit in overnight parking arranged through the hotel. Our room was compact but comfortable and the view from our large balcony was beautiful since it overlooked the coast. I chose this hotel due to a recommendation from Dive Sicily and dove (SCUBA) with them the following day. The hotel was very convenient for that - an easy 5 minute walk to the water/boat. The hotel staff was courteous and breakfast was good. The hotel was very convenient to the tram (6 euros round trip) which takes you to the tourist part of Taormina (away from the water) where there are many, many restaurants and lots of shopping. There were also a few restaurants and some tourist shopping near the hotel.

Room Tip: Our 4th floor room had a spectacular view.

This hotel has great, friendly staff and a nice location for a swim. The last day, we wanted to go snorkeling around Isola Bella (at 5min walk, great diversity of lovely fishes!) but it would get really tight with check-out (11am), then we were told to just go and enjoy ourselves -- we could take a shower and check-out a bit later!

Both the room and breakfast are decent, perhaps a tad basic (particularly for +/-90 euro pn). Fresh croissants were good. The traffic did not bother us.

In comparing prices of hotels, do realize that to get to Taormina (and all of its restaurants, the greek theatre, etc) you need to take the cable car up, which is 6 euro both ways pp.
Note that there is a night store nearby for a late night 'birra' on the beach!

The hotel itself was "nothing special", but it has a perfect location for seeing Taormina.
In 5 minutes walk you can reach everything - funiculaire, Isolla Bella, steps down to the beach and stairs, leading up to the city centre. The area is very central, so you can walk around till the night.

Room Tip: Try to get room on the 4 floor with sea view and a teracce!

The hotel is clean and handy for the beach in Mazzaro .... (Not Isla bella)..... Not many restaurants local to hotel, need really to get cable car up to very busy streets in Taormina for eateries

Staff are helpfull and polite

Breakfast is a letdown...... Fresher patisseries are needed .... Toaster not very good..... Cereal is poor..... NO FRESH FRUIT......orange juice isn't fresh it's from concentrate..... Not enough breakfast to keep you going.........

Location is ok for beach. The hotel allegedly has a discount with one of the beach companies but not really... They explain it is 25 euros and give it you for 20. But if you don't use discount card they still charge you 20 euros ... A bit of a con

Bathroom small. Bedrooms are ok. Lift is small.

Noisy train as tunnel under hotel.... Rumbles through the four story building

Pictures on hotel sight are misleading... The garden bit is because pictures takes from posh hotel opposite .... Makes it look more grand than it is.....

Busy road outside hotel .... Constant flow of traffic day and night

Hotel was in a perfect location, right next to the cable car up to Taormina and a short walk to the beach. We were in Rm 22 which had a balcony with a sea view. While there are 3 room types, by far pay the few extra euros and get the balcony, nothing better than having breakfast watching the waves roll in on Taormina Bay. Overall the room was excellent value.

The good stuff - Room was a fair size for European Standards. Well suitable for 2 persons. The view was excellent and the continental Breakfast (European Standard) was great (croissants, cheese, meat, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals and of course great cappuccinos. Room had AC that worked and took the heat away in end July. Hotel was a 2 min walk to the cable car which worked perefectly to bring you up the the bustling Taormina (suggest you get the day pass for 10 Euro if you are going up and down). Right next to a couple of nice quiet restaurants. The shutters cut out the noise from the road in front and the blackout curtains made the room completely black.

The OK stuff - Bathroom was smallish and the shower was tiny. Ok if you are average sized but could be a tight fit for some. If you are into the nightlife, this may not be the hotel for you. It is "down the hill" from the hustle and bustle of Taormina. If however you are looking for a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place.

Overall would definitely recommend this to people traveling the the area. Too much to see in Taormina so why look for a 1000 sq ft room. For what you pay you couldn't ask for more.

Room Tip: Look for room 22 or 23 (balcony with an unobstructed sea view). Room 11 is a good alternate choice...
