“thanx for a great trip”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

The staff is not only terrific but fun! They are well-versed in French and English. The riad is very well maintained and super clean. Maybe the towels could be better?
The rooms are super cute and kept beautifully.
All I had to do was mention that I had an issue with wheat and fruit appeared in the morning so I would have something to eat besides yogurt.
Most of the staff is pretty young but very responsible for the property and keeping the the guests comfortable.

Thanx Guys!

Staff were really friendly, and had certainly learnt to cater for Western tourists very well! We were supplied with everything we needed, and had a comfortable stay. We had a nice breakfast and could relax in the pleasant hotel with its nice Moroccan decoration! The receptionist was particularly friendly!

Room Tip: For the Western travel particularly, I would advise staying here! Nice, clean, pleasant place to sta...

This was a riad we stopped over for one night en route to taghazoute. We had just come from ouarzazate via a ctm bus which took just 4.5 hours and we arrived at 5pm. Even with our backpacks it took roughly 15 mins to reach the riad which was clearly signposted. The only part we got stuck was when we reached a street and the signs on either end were pointing back towards the street so we knew that the riad was very close and soon enough we found the right alleyway to walk down!

Ben was the main host who looked after us who spoke fantastic English (wish i could still be fluent in French and Spanish still after secondary/high school but that was many years ago). He showed us the main sights on the map around town which was very useful as we only had until the following day to see Taroudant.

We stayed in the Argana room which has a private terrace overlooking the centre of the riad and a little window which opens to the alleyway by the main entrance. You can hear the comings and goings in the alleyway but it is not really busy so sleep was mainly uninterrupted except for the usual call to prayer at dawn, so we are really used to the usual hubbub of background noises now, including the goats. The room includes the bathroom in one area (separated by wardrobe and shelving) a first for the both of us but as the previous guesthouses we have stayed in have little in the way of soundproofing noises from the bathroom even with the door shut, this didnt make much difference to us.

There is a pool which we didnt use as we had little time but i can imagine that if we did have more time, it would have been nice to have stayed one more night but that's a mark of a good hotel if it leaves you wanting more. Best regards to Ben xxx

We recently spent two nights at this riad and it was great. We were warmly greeted and escorted to the riad by Ben who is an absolute delight. He just couldn't do enough for us. The rest of the team was also very gracious and helpful. Our room had a separate terrace and decorated in beautiful vibrant colors. We found Taroudant charming and not as crowded and hectic as other cities in Morocco. We also had a excellent tour guide, Thami, recommended by Ben. We definitely recommend Riad Tafilag to anyone travelling to Taroudant. Thanks so much and we hope to return!

Room Tip: Room with a private terrace!

We absolutely loved the friendly, ever smiling, open minded host. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the service very good. The town is a traditional moroccan place, less touristic than other places we went to before.

A great Riad in the heart of the town which is tastefully decorated and furnished and is by far the best we stayed whilst on honeymoon! The staff and especially Ben made sure our stay was wonderful. I will be recommending with Riad as the place to stay. Thanks again!!
