It is so nice to discover such a lovely Ryad in such a grubby part of town. We had ordered a moroccan salad and were overwhelmed by the variety of salad dishes they served us..from stuffed aubergines to 'hopisa' which is a wild sort of spinach...really delicious....followed by a goat tagine with prunes and sesame seeds and finally a fabulous desert made with pastilla and cream filling. It's the best food I've eaten out in Taroudant

“A Wonderful Feast”
Reviewed 14 April 2013

In the course,of a week's holiday in Essaouira (full of good restaurants) and Taroudant, this was the best meal that,we had. It started with fish soup, then a remarkable assortment of vegetable dishes, including delicious aubergine, an extraordinary dish of wild herbs, courgettes, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, and a stew of tomatoes and peppers - all delicately cooked and spiced. The main course was a tagine of kid (baby goat) with prunes and apricots; and the dessert was a superb mille feuille pastry filled with almond milk - light as a feather. All washed down with a red wine from Meknis. This meal cost - after we had thrown in a tip - 300 durhim (less than £30) a head and was worth every penny. Served with courtesy on a special setting of an old riyadh.

“Best meal i Morocco!”
Reviewed 2 April 2013 via mobile

Staying at Maryam this year after a memorable dinner three years back, and were not disappointed. Four courses, all in abundance and top quality. And a bottle of wine is certainly also very welcome. For me, the eight or so different and excellent salads, served after the delicious harrira, is the real high point of the meal, but then the tasty tajine comes on the table, and to top it all dessert pastilla and tea. Abundance is certainly a key Word here, maximalism is practised both in the cooking and the decor of the riad. Highly recommended! Book some hours in advance for dinner.

“Fantastic experience - eating in a private riad”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

We were surprised by homely atmosphere of this riad. We arrived before lunch, the owner asked what we'd like to eat and gave us two hours for a walk in Taroudannt.
When we came back, he had set the nicest table with a bouquet of fresh roses and a table for two in the quiet patio.
The food they had prepared for us was more than excellent not to mention the desert. Everything home made, just for you...unique experience, highly recommendable.

“Amazing food in taroudant”
Reviewed 19 February 2013

After a problematic entrance to the riad it was an aladins cave of gastromatic delight - the table was groaning under the weight of superb food. However do not pay the asking price as like the souk you can negotiate the price down. The fish soup and tagine were great but the 6 plates of hors d'oeuvres were truly incredible. FInally the pastilla dessert - well go and try it!
