Delicious pastries and a perfect cappuccino await anyone who calls in here for refreshments. Prices are SO good, if you compare them with nearby Siena. This is because Sinatti Pasticceria is situated iin the village of San Rocco, and is mainly frequented by locals. We've been holidaying in the area for 10 years, and going there regularly during that time. It never disappoints. Sometimes we call for coffee in the morning. Sometimes in the afternoon. Sometimes, both! The supermarket is just down the road, so it's on our route. We love the excellent Italian-style cappuccino. Strong dark coffee with a nice frothy top. Croissants are scrumptious, dusted with icing sugar. 'Alla crema'you get a delicious lemony cream filling. And everything tastes so fresh. I love the little 'budini al riso', sweet crusty pastry shells, filled with a delicate lemon and rice filling. If you like savouries mid-morning, try the 'frittata'. It's an omelette in a sandwich. My husband adores them and says they are so tasty. Don't go late, though. The frittata are all gone by lunchtime. Italian newspapers are free to read on tables. The whole cafe is light, airy and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommended, if you are in the area.
