We stayed at this hotel for one night recently on our way south and had one of the best meals we have eaten in France. The hotel is a pleasant family run establishment, clean, tidy and comfortable with very good facilities (especially the Wi-Fi) and a lot of English spoken which helps those of us who are not fluent in French.

The best part of the stay was the meal. It was light, full of flavour, lots of fresh herbs and there was a good, local, wine list to go with it. The chef has a very good touch and the presentation was of a high quality. Up to the best of many restaurants in London.

We will certainly return !!

Room Tip: Book direct with the hotel and get a small discount for not having them pay a comparison website.

We had tried to stay here twice before but circumstances prevented us on each occasion. I am glad we persevered. It was excellent - extremely friendly family run hotel, with a very good restaurant - top quality interesting food.
We were impressed to get an email checking our time of arrival on a Tuesday as they are not open for lunch that day and Mme Depoix wanted to be sure there was someone to greet us. We had booked through booking.com but next time we will book direct and make sure the owners get full value from our stay.
The room was comfortable and a bit old fashioned (which we do not mind at all). An interesting print on the walls showing (rather optimistically) all 3 Napoleons.

Traffic was noisy till about 1900hrs then we did`nt hear anything else
We ate in the restaurant (seperate review).
Breakfast was 13E we thought a bit pricey would have accepted 9E.
Cost of one night and excellant meal was £200 for 2, we had a discount of £30 due to change in room, not expected but very good PR.

Room Tip: the room we had 12 had velox windows which we opened for a couple of hours to reduce the temp in roo...

We had a disaster with another Logis hotel up the road and called ahead for an emergency booking. The hostess and owner sorted us out 2 rooms at very short notice. We were shown a few rooms on offer and given advice on which would best suit our needs, she was very welcoming and spoke English beautifully. My Wife, daughter (3) and I shared a room for 3 which was palatial, antique meets modern and ok the modern is a little 90's but it was still done with aplomb. Drinks were served in the bar that doubled as an antique shop but not a drop of selling just a discreet price tag or two and no mention from our impeccable hostess. We opted for the 33 euro menu for dinner and my mother-in-law was feeling poorly so her dinner was fish and rice, no fuss, they just get on with it.

Dinner was fantastic, the hostesses husband runs the kitchen, I can't imagine how she stays slim. The food was to die for. In this small backwater hotel was what you always hear about when people tell stories of France but seldom experience first hand. Wonderful Amuse Boushe, fresh mini baguettes made on site. Two very technical starters and classic mains and puds. this place is where real classic cooking happens. Service is very attentive without being intrusive, the two serving staff were running around like a symphony given the covers and the service they provided it was amazing. the Hostess came and crumbed down with an antique table sweeper before bringing pudding, coffee and petit fours. The dinnerware was first class, the glassware some of the best of offer.

This is a real team hotel with the same attention paid to breakfast, mini homemade croissants and pain au chocolat, homemade jams etc etc. Really really good. So glad the other place was a disaster. If we are ever in the region again then we WILL stop here. First Class

Room Tip: room for 3 top of the stairs on the left, can't remember the number.

Front of hotel room on a slightly busy road. Quite nice room. Unfortunately party in house opposite so very poor night's sleep. Quite a good meal. Other couple rejected our room and had quieter room at back of hotel but lady said still traffic noise. Total bill including meal was £250. We stayed there to break our journey from London to Saumur. Next time we won' t bother and drive all the way in one go. Getting round Rouen was also a nightmare due to main bridge closure.

Room Tip: For what it's worth ask for room at the rear of hotel.

I am really sorry you had a noisy night at the Logis. Fortunately our neighbours haven't a party every night ! and traffic is quite unusual during the night ! I don't know which date it was as I haven't got your name on Tripadvisor. We can be joined 24h/24h and should I have known this, I could have given you another room. We insist that guest should report any problem even during the night : we are a small family business and want to make our guest comfortable, "at home"!
We were very glad that you appreciated our meal as everything is homemade here !
We are pleased to inform you thet we continue renovating our hotel in 2013/2014!

Turned up 'on-spec' after a 400 mile motorbike ride up through France. Made most welcome by the Maitre d' and good room with much appreciated bath. Unexpected delight was the dinner, proper 'Fine Dining' with great attention to detail and inventive- couldn't fault it and all for 32 euros each. Rooms are a tad expensive but a total of 205 euros for 2 of us all in was, I thought, good value
