I stayed here for one night with a friend who stayed in a separate room. We both found that the rooms were comfortable and the surroundings very pleasant. A 5 minute walk to the beach and well located to other venues such as restaurants. The free breakfast provided was ok and I found the girls on reception to be more than helpful.

It is a motel with a pool rather than a resort. Staffs are incompetent, always ask the manager, who wasn't in the hotel at that time, for everything.
The room was small and have no windows with a lot of Mosquitos.
Too expensive for a room in the "motel"!

Terrace P, Manager at Terrace Phu Quoc Resort, responded to this reviewResponded 7 March 2014

Dear Mr. Viet P,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review about Terrace Phu Quoc resort on Tripadvisor,

Firstly we do apologize for did not making your stay satisficing at Terrace Resort Phu Quoc. As we understand that you were realy tired after struggle at another resort before moving to our resort for 01 night stay. Yes, as you say some of our new staffs are still less experience to adapt for your request who is not an easy guest, therefore their responsibility to asking Manager is obviously a right action.

Moreover, we trust that our room which is Luxury funiture, amenities... The smallest one called Standard Double Garden View is large at 45sqm, Luxury Garden View 55sqm (01 king size bed 1.8 x 2m within 01 Sofa 1.3 x 1.8m), Luxury Pool View 55sqm (01 king size bed 1.8 x 2m within 01 Sofa 1.3 x 1.8m) are very much comfortable for a family of 03 people compare to other resorts with the same 03 star level in Phu Quoc island.

So that, we do appreciate if you could change your standpoint about expectation of the room at 03 star resort and should not compare our room with such a "Motel". It is realy realy far different.

Further more there is a beautiful swimming pool in our resort and the distance to reach to the beach just only 100m and the location is surrounding by a lots of mini shop and restaurants very convenient for guest who stay at our resort.

Thank you and hope to have chance to serve you in the future time

Sincerely,

Thuong

Ended up at Terrace Resort after leaving another hotel which we were not terribly pleased with. We came across it slightly by accident online and saw it was in the same vicinity as our previous hotel. Got a good rate and were more than happy with our choice!!

This is a new-ish hotel. Everything is modern, clean, and comfortable. The bed was comfy, there was a nice little fridge, lovely sitting area/terrace, and spacious bathroom. Grounds were very pretty and clean and the pool was warm and spotless and usually all our own.

The included breakfast is at the restaurant down the lane, a minute's walk. Breakfast was certainly good enough (the morning's pho was amazing!), but they really shone at dinner: fresh and delicious and ample portions!! The girls there, wait staff and kitchen, worked double time to keep things coming - it's obvious they are understaffed. A few more people, I'm guessing in the kitchen and for waiting, would've made things a little smoother for everyone. Nonetheless, we really appreciated how hard the restaurant staff worked to keep glasses filled and plates arriving!!!

Excellent location, lots of shops and restos minutes away. Didn't go to the beach but that was only a few minute's walk as well.

Have really nothing negative to say about this place, with one minor exception: the outer doors are cut way too high. This means you can hear people walking and talking on the way to their rooms late at night/early in the morning. Plus, it leaves a bit too much room for insect visitors!!!

Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!!

The location is excellent being only 2 minute walk from the beach and in an area with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. It is about a 30 minute walk into the main town - Duong Dong.

It is a new hotel with about 12 rooms set in lovely landscaped gardens that are kept well. The pool is kept clean and seems well looked after.

The room is large with a small outside area that has chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable and there is a fridge that you can store your own drinks in. The bathroom is excellent with a large shower and usual range of complimentary accessories.

The restaurant for the hotel is not on the grounds, it is just down the road and there is a good selection of fresh cooked breakfast options.

We had a lovely relaxed holiday in this hotel and would recommend.

The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are modern, with AC, nice tvs and DVD players. It also has a nice pool and breakfast buffet. It is a few minutes from the beach which is great.

We were switched rooms several times over an 8 night stay which was painful. We also were recommended a really questionable tour by the hotel that didn't work out very well.

Overall hotel has potential if managed better.
