“Wonderful and unforgettable trip!”
Reviewed 3 January 2013

We spent 2 nights in Cassia Cottage by the end of November 2012 after a long and hard working days. It really make us refresh and relax. Staffs of Cassia Cottage are so hospitable and friendly. We love quiet rooms with a long green road leading to the beach. Each room has a small garden with beautiful flowers and trees, which make us feel quite peaceful. We had a lot of beautiful and unforgettable memory there.

Thank you Cassia Cottage! Thank you Phu Quoc!

Sure that we will be back!

Happy New Year!

Thanks for your good feelings about Cassia, Lucky and Little Star. We enjoy making people happy in our garden. It’s more of the 1000 star experience than the 5 star. Since you live in Ho Chi Minh City, please come back to us one day and share your memories again. You know, we also offer discounts to friendly return travellers. Like family...

Cassia Cottage is an absolute gem! We spent almost a week here with our large family who ended up having all kinds of needs: anything from a doctor to a new volleyball net and special diets was arranged not only quickly but with ease and joy. The staff is just fantastic and the whole spirit of the place is embodied in the manager, Amelie: Always there, personal, taking care of business in completely graceful manner. The restaurant is excellent as well, there are plenty of great places around but dinner "at home" is certainly great as well. We will be back!
And yes... You should prepare for some matches of volleyball with guests/staff in late afternoons, great fun!

A perfect way to round of a busy couple of weeks touring Vietnam. The hotel is a great find, right on the beach in a nice quiet location. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, it's only the real finer finishes that prevent this being a top notch resort style hotel...some are a bit rustic (but I do not mean that as a criticism...only an observation). The breakfast was good and the staff consistently friendly, I had no complaints at all.

One tip, for a relaxing evening hit the beach and turn left, 5 mins takes you to Rory's beach bar for a sunset drink...heaven.

All excellent: friendly and helpful personnel from the Manager lady down to the stewards and plumbers (one damage on the water tap was fixed quickly), accomodation, restaurant, swimming pools, garden, sea, beach, happy hour at 4pm. A real paradies. Hope to come again... The place is worth the price. What to write more? I recommend.

Room Tip: 6a,...,7b are close to the restaurant but quiet and hidden in the tropical vegetation.

We stayed at Cassia Cottages in a large seaview bungalow for 4 nights at the end of a hectic but brilliant holiday. Our pre-arranged taxi from the airport negotiated their access road successfully despite it being rebuilt. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay, we loved our room's outdoor shower and the spacious bedroom/lounge. Housekeeping visited twice daily. We found all the staff to be lovely and incredibly helpful. They were all keen to practise their English. All the staff we smiled at immediately smiled back tenfold.

We had a foot massage at Cassia's spa which was excellent.

Amelie, the new Manager, was delightful and helped us to buy the hammocks we were after and dealt with our minor medical problem sympathetically and efficiently.

We really liked the Spice house dining area, stream included and enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners we had there.

The pool areas by our cottage were kept immaculately clean and when we there, were very quiet.

We would go back in a flash and hopefully will be able to on our next trip to Southeast Asia.

We choose Cassia based on other feedback from Trip Advisor and were very pleased with the whole experience. Yes, there is road work being done, which is annoying, only when you first arrive, but didn't bother us for the rest of the week. The facilities are lovely, clean and really do offer the best of both local charm and clean and safe atmosphere. We were travelling with our 4 year old son, who loved the "family pool" and close access to the beach. Though pity there wasn't many other kids around. The food was good. Breakfast by the beach was particularly nice and the staff were kind and helpful. All round great experience. We would recommend to others, and next time book earlier to get one of the fantastic villas right on the ocean.

Stayed here at cassia for our second visit after finding it exceptional the first time but a few things disappointed us this time. Firstly our arrival was difficult as they were doing extensive road works out the front. In the hotels defence they had a sign saying bags could be left for the staff to retrieve them but as we didn't want them to be stolen we struggled with them for some distance over road works. We even walked past several staff members who didnt offer to help. The hotel knows the flight times so could have been more proactive.
Once we arrived the reception was very underwhelming. We have stayed in hotels for a fifth of the price and were greeted like nobility, cold towels and fresh juice but nothing from Cassia.
Thirdly, and obviously a source of irritation for many guests is the breakfast. There is very limited choice, the menu hardly changes and they continuously ran out of ice. The tables were quite often dirty and we never saw them cleaned between guests at breakfast.
It is not all bad as by and large the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed in the beach house and were very happy with the standard and cleanliness of the room and the resort was well maintained.
In closing, for the very high price we paid, $336 a night, we felt that the level of service and amenities did not match the price tag when compared to similar resorts in Vietnam

Hi, it looks as if we've misunderstood each other. Talking with our staff, you booked your own taxi and on arrival, they did not know that you were coming here, since there are other hotels along the same road. 99% of our guests arrive in our car, and during the road construction we were greeting them at the top of the rough section. As well, you checked in at the same moment as three other families, and our front desk intern was overwhelmed. And not responsive. we've worked up a new greeting area and procedure to prevent that happening again.
As to carrying your luggage out,- we've been doing this for guests for years and you're the first who carried their own bags. Again, the staff said you'd booked your own car and thought you didn't want help.

Sorry we disappointed you - perhaps you will come back for another try so that we can exceed your dreams, as we did the first time, and as we do for almost everyone else.
