“Amazing”

Martin and his wife are incredible people. They greeted incredible. The house is very clean and tidy, the beds are very comfortable and the views from the house are amazing. I think this house it is the best option to visit that part of the island. Thank you very much!

“Totally amazed”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Oh my goodness, totally amazed by this cottage. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived from Melbourne Australia. I can not recommend this holiday cottage more. On the first day my children enjoyed a donkey ride on the lovely Jimmy and then we enjoyed a cart ride in the front field. Catherine and Martin could not be any better as hosts, the most lovely people you will ever meet. My mum enjoyed a personal cooking lesson of traditional Irish bread which made her stay. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in whilst I've been away on holidays, my children literally fell into bed and slept soundly every night we were there. I only wish this holiday cottage was closer to our home, because we would book it out on a regular basis.
Thank you Catherine and Martin for your beautiful hospitality and lovely impeccably kept holiday cottage and your warm welcome to Ireland. We will not forget you.

“Great holiday at Greenacres”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We received a very warm welcome at Greenacres. Catherine and Martin greeted us with homemade scones and jam.
Greenacres is a comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside. Situated in a great location to explore West Ireland e.g. Kylemore Abbey near Cliften, Westport and Galway.
It is ideal for children as there is plenty of indoor and outdoor space, also the ponies and donkeys are a great attraction for young and old!!
You are made very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
We highly recommend Greenacres and would like to thank Catherine and Martin for making our stay a memorable one.

We were welcomed by Catherine at Greenacres cottage and felt at ease immediately. Travelling for the first time with my baby twin daughters was tiring but I soon forgot this as I drove up the drive and was greeted by Martin and Catherine, ( and their two friendly dogs) the owners at Greenacres. The service from beginning to end was better than i've experienced.
The services were excellent and nothing was too much! When we needed assistance each member of the family were on hand at any time of day. Catherine's grandaughter and daughter were great with my girls and helped me in the evening when i needed an extra pair of hands...many thanks.

The property has it all, an wood burning fire in the kitchen, central heating, electric shower and two toilets. The kitchen was the heart of the house with an open plan kitchen and three of the four bedrooms off it. An extension of the house has the bathroom, living room -with fire and fourth large bedroom. A door leads you out onto a private garden which includes a table and chair. The bonus was the horse & donkey named Rosie and Jim, who were great for the babies stimulation.

The location is perfect as you are close to the main town of Ballinrobe and at the same time within easy access of some wonderful places of interest including Cong, with Ashford castle, Castlebar and Galway.

The best part of the stay at Greenacres was being like one of the family...the rhubarb tart and soda bread were delicious and I am already planning my next visit. I will be recommending Greenacres to all my family and friends and will be returning.

Thanks Catherine and Martin and your daughter and grandaughter
