Acting on a recommendation from the B&B owner we stayed with, we were glad we took the time to visit these gardens. Well worth a visit for the peaceful paths and beauty.

We thought we would stop here for tea and cake. Well, what a find. It's a little beauty, the gardens are spectacular. Plenty of flora and fauna. The walks around the garden and the lake are a delight. We saw two peacocks was just wonderful. The house is is being restored but it is still beautiful look at from the outside. Plenty of space to picnic on the green and loads of benches around so you can sit and take in the beauty of the trees and flowers which are kept perfect. The area is ok for buggies but I think wheelchair users would struggle a little as the paths are a little uneven. It has a tea shop, plant shop which is full to the brim of any plant you wish to buy. There is no entrance fee and plenty of car parking area with picnic benches. Toilet facilities. Well worth a visit.

What a treat! Small toddlers, teens and Granny in tow we all loved the magic of Altamont Gardens. The swans on the lake with their signets were a particular highlight. Free entrance and close to other great local attractions-very easy to plan a great day out in this area.

Can't beat coming here in nice weather, is free and plenty space to seat down and walk around, the trees and plants are well looked after and you can always get ideas what would you like in your own garden, there is also a shop with plants&trees.
