“A home away from home”
Reviewed 20 March 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Splink view is a fantastic house and I recently spent a week over New Years there with my friends, which easily fit more than 12 of us. The host Julie is great to work with and kindly left plenty of supplies in the house for us, including some food which was a great surprise!
The house itself is extremely comfortable and we had the house heated in no time with the huge fire blazing in the sitting room. There was a storm passing through at the time but that didn't distract us from the incredible view from the house overlooking liscannor bay. There's plenty of boardgames and dvds to keep us occupied during the storm!
It's perfectly located a few minutes walk from the village, and our favourite local bar Egans, and a short drive to clahane, the cliffs of moher, doolin and Lahinch.
I would highly recommend staying here if you have a large family or group of friends, and I would definitely stay here again. Julie and William are a pleasure to deal with and were very welcoming.

We just returned home yesterday from our Ireland vacation (7 friends plus 3 friends from Belfast who met us at Liscannor) we stayed at Splink View, we had a great time! House was perfect place to relax and chat with friends, have a couple of drinks, go down the hill to the pubs and the Anchor Inn for a great steak dinner! We met the locals and all the bar tenders! Everyone was just so welcoming to us! We had a great driver Tom, who took us to see the Cliffs, gave a tour on Sunday of the castles, took us to Dolin for Irish music. Can't said enough about the people! The town is very small and quite just what we were looking for....didn't have to rush anywhere! The view from the sun room is just breath taking! All and all just a great place to be! If you're considering going to Ireland and this cottage is available......Get it! you won't be sorry!

“Fantastic location and accommodations!”

Had a fantastic trip to the west coast of Ireland. Splink View was the perfect base for all of us - 4 adults and 3 children. We were expecting another family to join us and there would have been plenty of room for them as well! Julie was wonderful to work with. We were so sad to leave! Highly recommend!

My wife and I booked this house for an Easter break with two kids under 3. The weather was the worst on record and we were regretting the whole thing as we drove toward our unfamiliar destination. We arrived at Splink View in a gale with huge hailstones. We immediately put the heat on and lit the massive fire in the sitting room and unpacked. In no time we were loving the views, snug, in a fabulous house! It is very comfortable, has great space and the views are amazing.

Everywhere is within an easy drive from this house; Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Lahinch, etc. Check out the amazing seafood in Linnanes in New Quay near Ballyvaughan. Ennis town was also a great discovery! We ate many times in Vaughans due to the convenience and, well, meh.. The local rock museum was an unexpected bonus. Check it out!

I can only imagine how good this house would be in better weather...

“Lovely property, lovely area”
Reviewed 8 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Julie and William very welcoming - we got lost on the way thanks to sat nav, bu they waited around patiently for us to arrive.
Property accomodated nine of us easily, with plenty of room to spread out. All main UK TV channels provided, so we could watch Match of the Day!
Conservatory area gives lovely panoramic views of bay area.
Plenty of kitchen stuff provided, so don't feel you have to shop for washing up liquid etc beforehand.
Surrounding area has got all facilities you need - LIscannor has four different pubs and a shop. Lahinch is a thriving seaside town 3-4 kilometres round the bay, and a bit further on, Ennistymon has a good value supermarket.

“Spacious scenic and restful vacation”
Reviewed 24 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

Liscannor was acceptably close to Shannon airport, but it definitely needs 4 wheels for the region to be enjoyed. The large home was comfortable, with a wonderful sitting room looking out to the inlet with magnificent views.
The kitchen was well equipped, the heating ample and beds, more than advertised.
Julie the owner was very helpful, leaving us with arrival foodstuffs, a nice surpirse. She visited us on Day 1 to make sure we were all OK, and did not bother us after that.
Cliffs of Moher is a "must"!

“Great house with lots of space and fabulous views!”
Reviewed 19 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed in Splink View for a week during July of this year and had a really lovely time. There were 9 of us altogether, 2 familes (including 5 children). We had a super time and we were delighted with our accomodation. From the amount of space we had, its safe enclosed garden, the fabulous decking area with an amazing view Splink View is a wonderful house to stay in. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay which is a necessity when travelling away from home with small children. It is alos in a really good location, within walking distance to the all important pubs (and shops) and we didn't have to drive too far to visit some of the attractions (cliffs of moher, doolin caves, burren smokehouse etc). We highly recommend this house for anyone visiting the Liscannor/Lahinch area.
