My husband & I, along with my sister and our parents, spent 5 nights here. Comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen (plus washer/dryer!), and cosy sitting room. Great location for day trips to hike or sightsee. Our host Leesha was easy to reach with any questions and offered good suggestions on where to visit or eat - lovely person!

An extremely well-equiped home with terrific ocean views, easy walkable access to a "blue star-rated" beach and a castle ruin to explore nearby ( to top it all off! ) Easy access to numerous historic sites, terrific and delicious local restaurants and pubs, and lots of outdoor activities to enjoy (hiking, biking, swimming, etc.) Service by the owners was outstanding and very responsive to questions, and they offered many great suggestions about highlights of the area.

We had a wonderful stay in this great, spacious holiday home. There is a huge rear yard facing the beach, perfect for BBQ. Fully equipped kitchen with all the gadgets one would need. It is walking distance to the beach & café, 2 pubs and the art center. Check out the pizza at the art center on Friday/Saturday nights. A perfect base to explore the wonderful South Kerry countryside. We highly recommend a visit!

“Magical holiday home in South Kerry”

The Ring of Kerry is just wonderful, and Ballinskelligs is a great base for visits to different parts of it.
The stunning Blue Flag beach is within a few minutes walk from "Innisfree"
For those into surfing St Finians Bay which is a 15 minute drive away is ideal.
The famous Skelling Michael, (where Star Wars was shot in August 2014) Valentia Island, Waterville and much more are all worth visiting.
"Innisfree" was the perfect place from which to explore this glorious area. But it was also a great place just to sit and relax and admire the views, or to walk to the nearby beach.
This was our second visit to "Innisfree" and we have recommended it to friends.

Overlooking the tranquil Ballinskelligs Bay on the Ring of Kerry is this luxury house which is fully modernised. We stayed here a whole week and it served as a perfect base to visit Waterville, Caherdaniel, Killarney, Tralee, Valentia Island and of course the Ring of Kerry. Provisions can be sought in nearby Carherciveen such as top quality local meats and of course barbecue charcoals. In Ballinskelligs itself there is a great pub serving delicious home-cooked meals, again overlooking the bay.

The beach itself is only a few minutes walk away and is a great spot to unwind in after a day's holiday touring.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and a full set of lovely crockery and cutlery to make the home-cooked meals special. There are lots of rooms to retreat to and this house would suit a young family like ours or groups of friends or couples looking for a quality place to relax. There is of course ample golfing if you want down at Waterville, and frequent boat trips to the Ballinskelligs Rocks and out to see dolphins, as well as fishing. Locally there is the delightful chocolate manufacturer and a cultural centre. As this area is in the Gaeltacht - which is Irish speaking, a few words in Irish in the local shops will go a long way to make people welcome you.

Thoroughly recommended and we plan to come again!

My husband & I truly enjoyed our Irish adventure, the cottage is in a superb location overlooking the sea and Ballinskelligs bay, the views were breathtaking. The cottage was well equipped, had all the amenities needed and felt very much like home. Leesha, whom we rented the cottage from was very organised, efficient and answered all of our questions with speed. There was so much to see and do around the area and we found that the ring of Kerry really did live up to name of being one of the most scenic places to visit in the world. I would always recommend visiting Ireland and if you are going to do it, then this would be the best place to start!
