This hotel was selected for us by some relatives spending the summer on Darss, and were told it was the best hotel in the area. Wouldn't doubt it for a second, it's a beautiful hotel, with very comfortable rooms in wonderful quiet village. They have a huge garden out back with a couple of ponds for guests to stroll around or lounge/sunbathe. The food is excellent, particularly the typical German breakfast which is available until 1pm for the late sleepers!
From a North American perspective, the only minor irritants were the fact that the hotel does not accept credit cards, meaning having to have the cash on hand to pay for the room. And the pillows, typical of Germany, are extremely soft.
Bicycles are provided for a nominal fee, and are a great way to scoot around the peninsula, or up to the beaches in Prerow.
