Stayed here 1 night for a work meeting. Had a room in the 'schloss', the outside separate part of this hotel, where I had a luxurious room. We had diner, of which I found the quality ok, but nothing special. I expected more from this 5* hotel.
The free wifi was not performant enough to give an online WebEx meeting. For the rest the meeting facilities were good. Nice attention is the small pad to clean a screen of your phone or laptop.

This "Schloss" hotel is situated very well on the German side of the Mosel , halfway up the hill with nice view over the valley. The welcome is very professional with welcome drinks and excellent service.
We had a nice room with balcony and view over the valley. Extremely quiet.
The bathroom however is quite small with only one washtable. The towels are small and thin.
They offer 2 restaurants of which one is 3 star rated.
Excellent breakfast.
Would recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms on Spa level. (Numbered 600) are fine.

Our second visit to Victors within 12 months for a 2 day weekend lived up to its high standards. The Manager held a cocktail reception for the new guests to outline the history and facilities of the Hote and although we spoke no German he arranged for one of the staff to provide us with an English translation...what a nice touch. .All the staff were very helpful and the service throughout excellent. You will enjoy the hearty breakfast with its many choices while we also dined in the very pleasant adjacent Die Scheune Restaurant. On the border of Luxembourg and Germany with all the delights of the Moselle River Region, the location is perfect.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

We stayed here for a pre-Christmas weekend break. The approach to the Castle and hotel is stunning and there is plenty of free parking. Our package entitled us to stay in the hotel part rather than the Castle.

There was some confusion when we checked in as we were taken to one room and our luggage was taken to another. The staff on reception soon realised their mistake and fetched us to take us to our correct room which had the extras which had been ordered. The room was very pleasant, comfortable, a good sized shower and bathroom, Trussardi products, robes and slippers were provided, there was a free shoe cleaning service and other nice touches. Wifi worked well and was free to guests with a 24 hour code. However, service was different each day – we had turn down service the first evening with clean towels, ‘good night’ chocolates and bathroom products were replaced, but no such service the second evening.

The five course candlelight meal the first night was very good with attentive staff and good timing between courses. However, the four course meal the second evening was disappointing – a small packet pizza as a starter was out of place, waiter service was very poor with incorrect orders, very slow service, wine not being delivered as requested and there seemed general confusion with other customers as well. The restaurant was not full but it all seemed extremely disorganised.

Breakfast was lovely and available until midday which was very relaxing. There were a lot of different and good quality fruit juices, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, eggs cooked to order, various hot dishes, fish, dried meats, cheeses, a wide range of breads, rolls and pastries, good quality jams, a lot of gluten free and lactose free products and an excellent selection of teas as well as bottles of sparkling wine.

The spa facilities were lovely although I personally think it should have been for adults only. I did not appreciate so many children under the age of ten shouting and splashing in the small swimming pool and Jacuzzi, running around the pool side, jumping into the Jacuzzi, running across the small walkway to jump into the pool.

On one floor were treatment rooms, a solarium, a beautifully warm swimming pool, Jacuzzi, showers, changing rooms. On the lower floor were two different temperature saunas, a steam room and a plunge pool as well as various showers. There were plenty of towels, robes and slippers provided. The loungers around the pool were comfortable and it could have been a very relaxing atmosphere if the children hadn’t been so noisy and obtrusive.

Jugs of drinking water were provided by the saunas and it would have been appreciated having some available at the loungers as well. Drinks could be purchased but it would have been nice to have had water and teas available.

So, all in all, I have mixed feelings about my stay - though in my opinion it was certainly not a five star experience on any level.

We stayed for our 10th year together in the Victor's Residenz.
We didn't had a reservation but on booking.com there were enough rooms available.

When we arrived, we asked to see some rooms. Misses Anna; was very polite and helpfull to show some rooms in the hotel and the casttle.
The was another lady at the reception (short dark hair) she is not so helpfull or friendly, so you better avoid her.

We took a room (n°205) in the Castle as we though this the most quiet one. The room was also very nice decorated.

Unfortunately we had a very bad sleep: the mattrass was very old. Of course, you can see this directly when you enter a room, but only when you lie on the bed.
Beside the very poor mattrasses, we became awake at 4:00 due to noice from people from outside that came out the casino.

What was positive:
- if you like to jog or walk: the hotel has a jogging/walking map
- the pool is not hugh, but big enough to swim a few minutes
- the sauna are is very nice
- the breakfast is really good

For 240€ a night you would like to sleep well

Room Tip: Don't stay in the rooms in the Castle. The mattrasses are really old.

This is a great hotel that lives up to it's 5 star rating.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room clean and spacious with an excellent bathroom.
The only thing missing was air conditioning (the outside temperature was 36 degrees) but they supplied us with a fan which helped a lot.
My wife is coeliac requiring a gluten free menu. I had mentioned this when booking and the hotel took notice. At breakfast they supplied a selection of gluten free breads and rolls, such attention to detail goes a long way.
Also available at breakfast was a large selection of lactose free products - which is nice to see hotels catering for all diets.
This is definitely a hotel I would recommend.

Booked this hotel as it was close to Luxembourg but in the German countryside over the Moselle River and in fab Riesling wine country. Our initial impression was the hotel was dated but the room was clean and well furnished but no air conditioning which was a problem as we stayed at the end of July and it was 32oC. The pool and spa were excellent, especially the comfortable pool loungers. We ate dinner one night in the Bacchus restaurant and the food and wine was 5 star excellent. The breakfast was amazing and included in our room rate. The Reception staff spoke good English and were very friendly, as were restaurant staff. All in all, a great hotel.
