Review of Pancake Barn Tearoom - CLOSED

Pancake Barn Tearoom
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$5 - US$25
Description: We offer a selection of sweet and savory delicacies. We serve 10,2-inch "Belgian" pancakes, they look like crêpes but are slightly thicker. All products are fresh and homemade. We buy most of our ingredients locally or are our own cultivation. We also opt for some quality labels, such as our Nespresso coffee and original Belgian “Luikse” syrup. Don’t fancy pancakes ? No worries, we also serve soup and omelette daily. Linda & Mike

We had lunch here twice now and both times we left filled up and happy. The barn is full of character and converted to a very high standard, warm, friendly and cozy. The views of Little Loch Broom and the land of the owners is stunning (there are some glamping pods available to rent).
The food was freshly prepared, we had the soup of the day and some pancakes each. We could taste that the soup was homemade, as were the pancakes. Everything was of excellent quality and served by the shy, but knowledgeable and friendly, owner himself - or by his cheerful, bubbly wife (and cook) herself.
Not to forget an excellent cup of coffee at the end of the meal.
We will surely be back whenever in the area!

What a fantastic setting.
The pancake Barn's interior is cozy and just beautiful, with a window front lookingbtowards the loch and the mountains. Breathtaking! We were lucky enough to have a cuppa sitting comfortably outside in the sun, along with a very tasty homemade soup and freshly made pancakes (even vegan pancakes were available). Also, a good choice of other foods, all cooked freshly to order.
Owners very friendly and cheerful. Would definantly recommend and we will certainly be back!

What a wonderful little place to discover in the Highlands, you'll drive by when you're on NC500.
It's owned by a lovely Belgian couple who moved up there 2 years ago.
Hopefully everybody will go and enjoy their nice pancakes soon. My favourite is the "Durnamuck Mess"
