Loved the food, price, atmosphere. My husband and I ate here twice during our stay, once outside and once inside. Outside is definitely the best, on a patio overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. Bring a cushion or blanket to sit on if you have one handy, the chairs are wire and get a little uncomfortable in a sundress after awhile! Inside is cozier and comfortable, with views to the ocean out of large picture windows that surround the dining room.
Service varied a little between the two visits, with our first experience very friendly and enthusiastic. The second was a little more subdued, but still fine. I don't remember there being long pauses or waits between anything but getting beverages refreshed. Our first visit, we over-ordered a bit, with a double-starter course and two main dishes and sides. We were smarter the second time and omitted one of the starters and one of the main dishes!
Both of us are somewhat novices to Indian cuisine, but know what we like. We definitely got it! Our first server was really helpful in giving us menu translation where we needed it. Another fun thing was being able to amp up the spice as needed -- living in central Europe, it's a little hard to get spicy food -- and Mahek made it easy to make things hotter as needed. The local beer was a perfect complement to all of it.
Also, this was by far the best value for our dollar/euro, with our entire meal, including tip and drinks, for about 45 Euros. This is pretty expensive for casual Indian food, by both European and American standards, but it was the best deal we found for dinner on the Seychelles.
