“Should not have paid my money to stay there!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2011

Visited October, 2011. There was mould on the ceiling and after we put our baby to sleep on the bed, we moved the pillow and not only was there someone else's eyelash on the pillow (we did not lie on the bed yet, so it couldn;t possibly be mine/ours!)...there were bed mites or something of the sort crawling all under the pillows.Met with some sarcasm by one employees. We were upgraded to a suite.....jaccuzzi GRIMY and FILTHY and TWO COCKROACHES in the suite, one dead and one ran across the bathroom in the middle of the night. Had an appointment for a massage, therapist took another appointment and I was already disgruntled and was fearful of how disappointing the spa might be, i cancelled. The only good thing was the pool. My advice...do not stay there if you have standards!
Is there any way i can get back my money?????

The service was warm and friendly. However, staff needed to be more professional and upbeat!
The room was very outdated. there was not even a hairdryer nor an iron.
The location is very far, however, the resort's garden and fountain were beautiful. Activities besides the pool were needed for kids.
The meals were delicious but a greater variety is needed. Especially for children.
The best thing I loved was the pool. However, the room needed updating; activities needed for the kids. Also, the spa treatments should be included in a package with the room and meals; instead of having to pay an additional cost for spa treatments. That was a turn off.

Room Tip: The ocean view on the ground floor was lovely. However, I believe a better ocean view would be seen...

Some humble advise to management....no matter what type of room it is, the basic amenities should be provided...complimentary soap, shampoo and lotion. Towels, sheets etc. should smell and fell clean. Just a little "comfort or fabuloso" can go a long way!!! Especially those blue towels!!!
Gabbage bins should be emptied everyday!
Front desk needs to take note of requests made and respond accordingly.
Kitchen staff needs to be more friendly and helpful...hot water for coffee and tea ran out and was not replaced in a timely manner.
Kitchen tablecloths, napkins etc. need to be replaced...torn and worn out!
However, Breakfast was great and one of the dinners!

There was a slight mix up with the check out dates but this was quickly and professionally rectified. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and all the amenities worked without any problems during our stay. There were also fun activities for the kids such as Easter egg hunting, kite flying and karaoke competition. Local live entertainment was also a nightly feature that added to the experience.
The great tasting food and the conveniently located pool bar did it for me. We stayed here for the 2011 Easter Weekend just to relax and unwind. I will stay here again.

my husband and i spent our honeymoon there. the reception was poor, the rooms were old and outdated and the serving of breakfast lunch and dinner was very poor. we had to wait for about an 1hr before being served. otherwise fantastic view of the beach.

My husband and I decided to spend our 6th year anniversary here, expecting that it would be somewhere really nice. We were already in Trinidad visting family and wanted a private getaway. Of all the hotels I have stayed in the caribbean, mexico, the US and Canada, this was by far the worst. The rooms are outdated, and nothing worked. When we arrived, the room that we were assigned was on the ground floor. It had a wet moldy smell, with a porch door that had no lock. The bathrooms were moldy and OLD. We requested another room, only to be given another crummy room. The king bed was OLD, the AC was not working and we had to contend with a fan, the rooms beside us were noisy, the bathroom had a jacuzzi that did not work and was dirty, the overhead spray shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, and the sink looked like a small basin. The bedding is old, old, old, and looked like something i should be spreading on the floor, rather than covering with for a romantic anniversary night.

The surroundings of the resort is nice, but when you are outside and you look up at the roofs, you can clearly see the age of the entire building. This was by far the most disappointing stay I have had anywhere. The cost of the room was 900TT dollars which is about $150 Canadian, a total ripoff.

At dinnertime, only buffet was available for $280TT per person!!! Not a lot of selection, and not that good. The breakfast was included but we arrived to flies sitting on EVERYTHING. I shooed away flied as i helped myslef to some local pumpkin and fry bake, salfish etc, and some tasteless white bread and tasteless eggs. There were fresh fruits [watermelon and papaya] but definitely didn't take that chance to eat that!

I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING TO THIS RESORT.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

Check-in was horrible. We checked-in (11am) ahead of the resort's check-in time, and still had to wait for a while when we returned at 2pm. Eventually we did get a room and were pleasantly surprised. The view was beautiful. The facility is well maintained. Breakfast was good, and we plan to visit agaib....but not on a night when there will be a party, as the noise bothered us until 2am.
