the compound is very pretty for a nature lover- hard to find a place like this in grande riviere! It is beachfront but the water was REALLY rough and its a fishing bay. Therefore the corbeau birds were in abundance all over the Bay- so bathing there was not an option. The Customer service was impeccable especially the friendly staff at the desk and the restaurant. The patio with the hammock was a great touch as well.

The bungalows of the resort are really well done but there is no maintenance, the shower didn't work propely and the mosquito net of the windows was all damaged !
Other bed things was that the resort is not in front of the see us we suppose !!

We discover in the morning that our bungalow was near the river.. if you are unlucky, like us, and you reach there whit the rain when you open your window you feel to be in a real swap!!!

Is it trough that we rich in Acajou hotel in low season, but what they offer you in the web site was totally different that what you find when you arrive !!!

One night we suppose to eat at the restaurant but they didn't have white wine in the cooler and they serv us bear that pass the date line!!

The one good things about the hotel was a weitress: a rasta lady really kind, prepare and qualify..

I think this is not a place for family whith young children at all

My sis and I journeyed up to Grande Riviere for the first time. The drive was a bit challenging at night. Roads could be better lit along some paths and repaired. The accommodation however was worth the trip. We had an awesome time. Breakfast was delicious too!! Will definitely go again.

We read, walked on the beach, relaxed some more, looked at birds, didn't worry about the rain, were a week too early for turtles but no matter, loved the food and the friendly service - everything as advertised and most acceptable.
