Although the facilities were nice and well maintained the level of service at the resort was very unwelcoming and resulted in a negative impression of the hotel. Check in for a member of our group took well over half an hour even though she was first to check in. The front desk staff were friendly but failed to keep the traveler updated about the delay.
What is really the downfall of this hotel is the rude attitude of many of the food and beverage staff. After staying in Trinidad a few weeks before heading to Tobago the "relaxed" service became a norm, but many of the staff members serving us at the various bars/restaurants acted like we were a burden on their day. You would barely get a hello or a smile from the majority of the wait staff.
Overall, the facilities were nice and some staff were friendly I would not suggest a stay here if you do not want to be treated poorly by the food service staff.More
