Small family room hotel. 2 star. The family don't speak any English but do try their hardest to communicate. The rooms are clean and small, bathroom tiny measuring not much more than 2 foot across. The loo, shower and sink almost touch each other and if you're more than a 38 waist or size 16 you probably won't fit on the loo. The towels were changed once a week, rooms swept every day and beds made. We were half board and you sat at the same table every day and chose the next nights meal in advance from a sheet with a choice of 3 mains on it. Dessert was not included. If you are vegetarian then you probably won't like what is especially made for you off the menu eg deep fried brie. The breakast is cereal, a dry roll piece of cooked meat or cheese and yoghurt. The front rooms have a stunning view of the lake. Malcesine is the nearest town/village. It is a 50 minute walk away or there is a tourist bus every hour which costs one euro. It stops running at 3pm and resumes at 5.30. There is not much else apart from the hotel in Navene and nothing else to do at night there. Most people go to Malcesine. Some on our package enjoyed the food but it was a let down for myself and my vegetarian partner! There seemed some inconsistency of quality/quantity of food between some of our fellow trippers who were allocated different hotels nearby. For me it was poor. There was an odd rumble noise like a boiler or generator from very early morning that I couldn't get to the bottom of too. I'd not return here to be honest.
