Great place to cool off - and the trip is just the right length with just the right amount of freebies!! Ring and book on the day for times and access!

We had looked forward to this day, having booked the places in the English tour months before coming to Italy. We have been to other chocolate makers (Callier, Alpenrose) in our trips and we hoped that this was going to be just as good or better.
Arrived early for the tour so we spent time in the museum area and in the small shop (surprisingly small and with little selection but we did buy things later).
Our tour started a bit late and had at least 40 people including many children. During the interesting film and while the guide tried valiantly to give her information in the museum section of the tour, several children, and some adults, seem to have no concept of how to act in public. Other members of the tour had to ask for quiet.
The best part for us was the walk above the factory floor - quite interesting to observe how things were done. We must have seen tens of thousands of Baci.
The tasting of samples was a bit of a letdown. Not much to chose from especially for dark chocolate fans like us.
Still, we were happy to have been there.
For information purposes: the fee is still 7 euro for adults, 5 if 65+.

We phoned on a Friday afternoon and were able to set up our visit for 12 the following day. The directions provided by the receptionist were minimal at best and there were no directions on the website. With the help of Google directions we were able to make our way to the facility for a tour that lasted about 1 1/2 hours. The film, tastings and tour of the factory were all good. The shop seemed a bit over priced, but it's caveat emptor. I would check out the prices in local grocery stores before shelling out lots of money in the gift store. There were some very cute items there that wouldn't be found elsewhere.
It's worth a visit.

We sent an email to book a tour, and the reply came within hours. Our tour was very interesting and included a guided tour of the factory, including an opportunity to sample many of the chocolates, as well as an opportunity to visit the museum and see a video, both depicting the history of chocolate and the history of the company. The only negative was the size and noise of our tour group which made it difficult to hear our tour guide. Otherwise, a delightful diversion, especially for a chocolate lover! Next time, I want to attend the Chocolate School!
